How Dare You (said in really gruff angry scary voice) My model is be on PAYG for 12 years then bite the bullet and go to a contract, get a contract with a phone and then use the phone as a toy as I have a perfectly good Microsoft phone, oh and then use eBay or ICT Direct for new handsets for a few phones. I haven't had a brand new phone for about 4 handsets now they have all been refurbs / open box specials etc.. I am tempted by the Nokia that @ZeroHour has as that was very shiny and it worked with my gloves on That is a win for me with a touch screen phone that I can use with gloves without a fat fingers pressing wand However it lacks a keyboard and I need that for fat fingers replying to emails on the move seen as Microsoft are still messing around with the Surface Pro not being out in the UK yet....

Ah yes the ever inevitable fiddling fingers, amazing how I get moans of it sounds naff in Drama / Upper Hall (when using a full desk) / Music /Lower Hall and I go over, reset all the knobs on the mixer and then put my phone on and its that sounds good to me and walk off as someone thinks you need to turn the knobs from where I set them to be around right Best thing I have is this - MX82 its in my main hall and great and has Phantom Power on the mic inputs and phonos for the iPod lead, DVD Player, PC etc and yes it is available in the UK. Basic programming yes but you do need the software and cable really to do full setup and confirm what pin they have had set on them.

Code depends what its been set to the manual and programming software will tell you all you need to know.

You usually patch from one on each ISDN2 NTE to each card / port on the system

You need to be on the correctly assigned extension and enter the valid pin on that extension

It does AD authentication :-) our BYOD is set to an AD group if your not in it you don't get on it :-)

MS is one of the cheapest costs we have ironically! It's the fact I'm not allowed to have quotas as staff aparantly do need 30+Gb documents and our shared drive needs to be huge, sixth form alone is over 20Gb! Oh and our Media rich curriculum doesn't help lots of external factors contribute to it

(and you know all about that and what my statement means!!). I really cannot convey how bad it is from an end user perspective, it maybe brilliant as a business tool at your end but it needs a major end user testing and re-design as its not user friendly and this is contributing to the poor support issues I would say and it is good news that Gary is getting his team there, but don't underestimate self help the old system was brilliant at that but I've yet to see anything useful in Salesforce and it doesn't encourage me to try and self help. I also lost a lot of useful data on past cases with the change over as a result I will be on the phone more as I cannot self-help by tracking back on past cases as they are missing data if / when I get the issues I've had before I miss the old days

Wow I would love your budgets, I'm lucky to get £40 per student cap and opex combined if that and extra funds have run dry so its getting harder and harder to do anything to the point that I've shelved a replacement program as I keep saying it but we just cannot afford to do it. Here's hoping new leader will improve things.....

Another happy Juniper user here I have 4 EX4200s (should become 5 in the very near future....) in a VC stack which is split between two campuses 2 on each and they are linked by 10Gb fibre so even shiner The EX2200s are great, we had one that had a borked firmware due to power spike and it got a bit stressed and carried on routing traffic for existing connections which meant I didn't actually notice the issue till I couldn't get into it to tweak a VLAN setting.

The best parts of Yorkshire I hope and I will be holding @ict-direct John to his promise to come visit us this year You can see all the shiny ICT Direct goodies we have and the refurbished place, I will hopefully have a new office by the time you visit as well which will be nice Ooooh nom nom nom I have Harrods freshly ground at present....

Have you been filming @russdev and the Impero team as they have Nurf war in that office, I remember being on the phone to Russ once just before Christmas the other year and he was being shot around shot whilst on the phone to me it was very funny I'm sure some hit him by mistake but was all good humoured and they knew it was a good guy aka me on the end of his phone so no complaints here

Not that I had noticed anywhere but I didn't look into it much more than this is the issue folder, you can move it with a few clicks, showed our Media Staff how to do that and explained why we needed them to do that and problem be gone so to speak

They need to remember not everyone owns a JesusPad and thus some Android or even better Windows Phone Apps are much appreciated!

We have a BYOD scheme for Sixth Form, they get a form filled in and approved by member of the Sixth Form Team (basic house rules and stating if staff feel your messing and not using the BYOD to enhance your studies etc then we will revoke access). This is then given to my team and we approve them for the BYOD network, they connect to that and authenticate against Active Directory. Its a seperate VLAN thus keeps them at bay and Smoothwall provides filtered and logged internet and does Zone Bridging to allow them to access the VLE, Email, Files etc... through the system and all works very well I have to say. The IOS6 issues are a pain and wish that would never have happened but other than that all seems fine and dandy
