Your local Print shop might be able to help, our Sixth Form did one a few years ago and the local print shop was really helpful they made them templates to sort and the result was stunning I cherish mine as it was a great bunch of kids (and it has a quote saying I rule in it as I was really popular with the kids!)

From our POV, we are having to deploy this bugger software (which needs nearly as many patches as Flash and Java) to support SIMS which is not good given we had moved to Foxit Enterprise which is free and far lighter footprint on machines and quicker and gives a number of useful tools for free compared to Acrobat Reader. Moving away from the forcing of a particular program such as Adobe, MS Office etc... is a good thing as with budget cuts commercial V open source will become a much bigger debate for some schools so opening the market up will stand the product in better stance compared to those who dictate a route.

Sorry to be slightly off but didn't DIDA finish at the end of last Academic Year? I know we dropped it for GCSE ICT as it was finishing and final submissions had to be December I thought as we stopped it in summer and moved onto GCSE computing going forward from September.

I design and build it as needed, our Site Manager is a joiner so knows his stuff, I use 900mm deep breakfast bar which works great for us gives plenty of room for books in-front of the keyboards / monitors, also means plenty of room to space the machines out. 600mm is a bit too shallow in my experience, especially if you do A-Level and use A3 for design sheets etc... which seems ever more popular for thought showers etc...

Ours are on the vandalism rampage thank goodness for CCTV is all I can say!

As someone who said just over a year and a bit ago that the 20ish spare spare ports on my core at one site and the dozen or so on the other site were plenty spare, I'm about to order another 48port switch to go into the stack which will be very much enough spare and cover the extra 12 NICs going in this month but you can never have enough as you can trunk server NICs etc... devices come with more than 1 NIC on most storage boxes etc...so you soon will use the spares up in a couple of newer servers.

We have a rack under the stage with a PC, Amp, Mics etc... all in it, key based in the staff room and staff just get that and turn it on and use it, quite simple to work and effective

IF you can mount the box on the ceiling why not put it in an adaptable box you can get from CPC or an electrical wholesaler for a few quid? Cut holes in it for the leads to pass out / in and screw it to the ceiling.

Has it got the right sized PSUs in it for the load on them? I have seen that before that they don't warn they just reset

Agreed never managed to fix it despite hacking reg keys and settings files across the machine was much quicker to re-do the entire image from scratch and re-do the test machines.

Sorry to dive in but how do people struggle on the underground? The map for that is a complete work of art and engineering it is simple and well designed Enjoy Paris I'm sure there will be an iPhone App to help you get around

Letters were sent out last week as I got mine mid-week saying they have sold to Capita, so I'd expect you to need SIMS within a year or two and a module to follow oh and the SIMS integration stuff to become 10x more expensive as will the main product to match the rest of the portfolio. I am horrified by what the products from them cost, MLS is expensive enough as it is (I know our finance team are EEK over it as the renewal came in and was more than the library budget apparently!!) so further rises will not be appreciated. One thing I hope they don't do is change the support as it is excellent and I only have good words for the team at MLS for support.

Best advice ever is avoid the wireless ones they are junk, always going off as you forgot to change the batterys etc... Alarm cable is simple enough to run and parts are cheap enough so just get the bits and do a proper job
