Motorola M3788E was my first on Orange and that was when I was eer about 14 as I was going on a school trip to London so I could call home and let my mum know I'm ok etc... after that I moved onto Sony phones so had a J70i and then a Sony Ericsson W810i and then around that time I started to carry two phones due to work so had a O2 XDA2, then a HP Mobile Messenger and then finally gave over on two phones as my work changed and moved over onto my HTC Touch Pro and finally onto my HTC 7 Pro which I love

Been quite nice and sunny in Yorkshire today, cold still but sunny rather than wet which is nice.

Yep that seems fairly standard the higher your paid the higher the notice period, I'm lucky I'm just in the 1 months

Glad that you did get them in and can see why I said on here that I was a bit sad you were not looking at them, as you have said it seems much more polished and I just felt more confident in them and the product and system and that continues now that I've had it in for nearly a year (time flys!). I wouldn't go back to cash tills anymore and I don't think any of our staff be they finance or catering would either.

If you do as I do use a small one as a connection from a large east west first class you keep that access so quite handy I enjoyed my 1st class to reading the other year which carried on from the 1st class on the East Coast

Mine function that is as far as I would go, if its on a Sun badged firmware don't bother going to the Oracle one as it will just get worse seemed to be what happened to mine, I know @bossman has got his on a Sun firmware still and its brilliant but alas the global giant decided to make it there own and we got a less than good system in the end which is a great shame.

Interesting survey I would agree that I consider it most weeks as poor planning by others despite me making things very clear often leaves me looking stupid and frustrated or embarrassed. I pride myself on planning and being organised and having to go back to trusted suppliers saying you know how I said no ta as we had been refused it well now they want it and want it now and the opposite its very embarrassing. Thankfully I have a good lot of suppliers, a number EduGeek supporters who are understanding. I know i'm not the only one here who has said this time next year I won't be in Education or the current job and I'm doing my best to make it so.....

and it will last about 100x longer than any of the new equivalents HP have made as they are so cheap and plasticy I am just taking some of them out after millions of pages and over 10 years in service for us and the previous owners. Our oldest bit of tech is probably the old Plasma Screen in the dining hall (we had a pair one has died) or maybe the 22" CRT Info Screens (only 1 remaining out of three as one died and one had an accident during the major building works and never recovered.....) or maybe it could be the CAT5 cabling and some of the last manky 40 year old phone wiring floating around the site..... Desktop PC wise we have a few 3GHz P4s floating around running display screens and things

Could you not put it in the Static DNS part of Smoothwall? I know I have some entrys in mine for the cluster sites we host however I have the server for them in-house so it is a true Internal IP it has but maybe worth a go for your site? You will find Static DNS under Services > DNS > Static DNS

Agree on the good shoes, this years BETT had the same shoes as last years BETT simply due to them being so comfy and thus have now done two BETTs and one EICE show as well as normal work and they are still giving good service (I would hope so for over £100 though!!) Take a portable pharmacy with you if you are down for more than one day, I know a lot of people have ended up with "BETT-itus" this year (I blame all those southern bugs that us northern Yorkshiremen avoid) but paracetamol, lemsip / beechams etc... would be good to have One thing a friend recommended to me (but never tried but makes sense) aswell as the shoes you can get some Peppamint Foot Balm which she swears by and she works in ExCeL and other centres a lot with her line of work and that makes a big difference as well Something to drink is always good as queues can be quite large at the coffee bars etc... especially if you really want lunch at lunchtime (best go early or later on - EG Pizza time was timed perfectly this year and avoided the big queues at Tratoria Pizza place) Plan to need twice as long as expected to get around so if you plan to do it in half a day you will need a day etc... Oh and you have to do the Cable Car to ExCeL it is very much worth it I really enjoyed our flight on it thank to @elsiegee40 for taking us on it to the O2 that night Get plenty of sleep it is a tiring day even if you think you are well planned it is a busy one I know my colleagues found it just a case of at how big and busy it was as it was the first time they had been to the show. IF you you the realtime logs on Smoothwall rather than static logs you will see what it is saying for the site and if it has a rule that is saying Yes to it you can click it and it takes you to the rule page and you can then go and work out why it is getting approved.

Will it be useful to perhaps do that and they can zoom through support tickets faster though

That is very surprising and shocking when I procured my cashless it was your other partner that needed poking with a stick to respond not NRS. The NRS system was much better value than Cunninghams for us and linked in well for all our needs and seemed a much better product and more polished. I also know of a couple of school who are not impressed with Cunninghams and are looking at leaving to NRS so I would say poke them again and get them out as that is not how they do business.
