  1. Hi Folks I've done a two-week table for the first time and except for a single lesson I thought I had successfully managed to schedule all the lessons, which technically speaking is true. But then I had a look at how the lessons were scheduled for each option block and was shocked to discover that NT6 was quite happy to allocate 4 sometimes 5 lessons a day even though the 'one day per rule' was Active. I cannot get my head round this and would appreciate if someone could guess as to what I've done wrong. Thankyou
  2. Sure.. I'm busy doing a two timetable for the first time. To be honest I still don't know what this means 'To be 'period overflow for attribute #IT-P sessions of length 2 or greater’, but I figured out that the reason I was unable to turn two single lessons into one double was because the two singles were supposed to be for the two weeks ie one for each week. I was supposed to go for further training on NOVAt6 but unfortunately it's been cancelled and I'm timetabling for Nursery up to KS5 so at the moment things are pretty nightmarish.
  3. Got it, Solved the problem! its nice feeling when you can fix your self-created problems !
  4. HI Does anyone know what this means.... 'period overflow for attribute #IT-P sessions of length 2 or greater’ IT-P is a room Its basically not allowing a double IT lesson and I'd like to know why. Please help! Thankyou Timetable problems.doc
  5. Thankyou, I'll give it a go..
  6. Hi fellow NOVA T6 users! The management in our school has decided to use a two week timetable which is fine by me except that as a complete novice to NOVAT6, I have absolutely no idea how to set it up. I was wondering if someone could guide me through the first stage of setting up the two week timetable so that I could make a head start before I go on the planned training course. Thankyou

Hi I'm having problems with allocating full 6 lessons to all subjects. I've told the teachers affected that they should be able to find the extra lessons after the students have been given their individual timetable. The teachers then can allocate the extra lesson/s where they find a gap on the students' timetable. This has worked for some subjects but not all. I've tried rescheduling couple of times but even then, the problems persists with some subjects. My explanation to the teachers is that some of them are teaching across KS3,4 and 5 and therefore its difficult to find enough lessons for them all Key stages. Am I right? Can i do anything to over come the problem?
