Had it on preview for ages and its got bugs, the calendar has a freak out from time to time, latest S4B client can consume ram suddenly, printing is also a bit tempremental. These are all common on Windows 10 it seems and others have seen the S4B issues and calendaring one. Seems better on Win 8 however.

I am loving Moyles being back on and I enjoy listening to him on my trip to work as well now I've found a couple of radio Apps for the Windows Phone. Monday the overload was huge so all internet failed on it but today was much better and great to see him back to his cheeky self which is why I loved his style of presenting.

I was an NRS user in my last job and its a great system, good staff and support very helpful and took constructive criticism onboard well which is a plus. So SIP or ISDN is your choice for phone lines, SIP comes over internet either the current line or a dedicated one. KCOM may sell SIP trunks. If you move to SIP from ISDN (or Analogue) you can usually port your numbers over. If you are not confident in this area be careful when phones are down SLT will shout very quickly so you should look at geting some help if you want to DIY it I would say to save your backside from being roasted. We use ISDN and/or SIP Trunks into Asterisk which we then pass off to Lync 2013 en-premis and use Enterprise voice through that and its great and works perfectly, the Asterisk boxes are physical where we have ISDN lines to integrate as they have a Digium card in them to connect to ISDN and where its SIP its a VM in some cases on VMware.

I know when I was working in Edu I got a student / teacher edition of Master Collection for a few hundred quid (so huge saving on what Master Collection is) but it was a single user license, not to be used for making anything etc so was so I could learn more to teach the students (AKA teachers).

As others have said, shut down the vm, copy the folder from the datastore to the new one and then on the new host browse the datastore and right click the *.vmx file and add to inventory.

MS's protection historically was good but look at it now - https://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/business-windows-client/ it is the bottom of the list all the time, they themselves have even said they are not really doing much effort into it but its more its something better than nothing. From what I remember from my days its very much Linux everything and it was Windows where it had to be EG Sims, so I would say if your Linux is not up to scratch maybe not for you, they do seem to have a high turn over of staff in IT as its been advertised a few times, but maybe they are always expanding the team but its had a few managers as well.

I have a Qnap and have Plex on that and it works great, I ensured I got an Intel based Qnap to give better compatibility and it has been working great imported my media to it and off we go

All bio data was put and stored in NRS and Eclipse hooked into it, you had to get the identikt license from Eclipse to be "licensed" for it to do it via fingerprints however (unless this has now changed it was a bit of a grey area as the NRS software was smart and would work without that license but Eclipse's stance was you need it for legal use of software). So you will be re-fingerprinting all staff and students on the NRS kit and this will then come back through to Eclipse its a simple process and NRS support were great at getting it setup and working without issues.

I went with Nationwide Retail Systems (NRS) for cashless in my last school, worked fine with Eclipse.net sharing the bio data was a simple setup and worked well. Support was excellent and cost wise was much less than Cunninghams as we looked at that as well. You should search on here for Cashless Catering, NRS, Cunninghams and Biostore lots of threads / comments etc...

Kaspersky was the only one that was straight out with detection for the version we got hit with earlier in the year and that trend seemed to continue of them being first out with new updates and protection over all the others, Symantec Endpoint Protection was one of the last to get it guess what we currently use.... @Net-Ctrl are Kaspersky vendors and very helpful with it so well worth giving them a shout when its time

I would suggest reading this - VMware KB: Best practices for virtual machine snapshots in the VMware environment (yes its vmware but same principal apply to any hypervisor). If you do it, keep it for as shorter time as possible such as a couple of hours as SQL could have such a rate of data change you do yourself no favours.

IF you have the change to wire do it, best thing I recommend to people building new / major refurb. As someone posted above its such a versatile cable you can use it for so much more than just an internet connection I've used it for sending video from other rooms TV over the house without other wiring, CCTV, Phones etc.. the range of baluns is great for C5.

Did you terminate the other end of the cable? the BCM needs a pair so at the other end you need to put the pair onto an extension port at the other end. The BCM uses breakout cables so by your BCM will probably be punch down strips labeled for extensions so you need to trace that cable back, find the pair you use and terminate to an extension and then look at the programming of the groups discussed.
