You can just bulk select in AD and change that it keeps the first bit fine and just swaps the end (we had 1000+ to do in batches for different sub domains here).

I used Zune and still do, well its now Groove Music. I still have the App on my Win 7 PC as they didnt have a Groove app last time I looked (but maybe they have one now)....

Ahh yes the usual FB H&S warning that I had to do on mine as well as a few have liked my share not the actual photo I am happy that people do like the photo however it is one I am most proud of that and an F1 photo from a few years ago

That is the best way in the HP stuff on it you have loads of HP tools it will tell you more in that no doubt and shows status of components etc... Also did you do the Firmware when you got it and install it using Intelligent Provisioning to ensure it has the right drivers?

Offline files are a nightmare and can get so badly lost and corrupted if the end user doesn't keep an eye on the sync centre frequently and check they really are working as expected.

We use Rancid here for auto config backups from Switches and Firewalls works very well from our HP and Cisco estate - Shrubbery Networks, Inc. - RANCID Where I used to be with the Juniper estate we had them auto ftp the backups to a share on the SAN which was a great feature as well

Do they have IT staff on-site or are you and your team it? If so why not just do one domain in one forest with Sites and Services to give it the intelligence for things that are site based like the DCs, DFS etc... No need to make things more complicated unless they really do need to be. You can have them in separate OUs and delegate to them the bits they need if they have an "IT helper" or something and you can block your GPO inheritance on the OUs for them and make the own etc..

Lorry Driving?! that doesn't strike me as the most romantic suggestion in this world for a Christmas gift surely its up there with the new hoover or iron gift in the "thanks" list? As for me I have no idea what to get my folks as ever will see if my mum drops any hints or see's anything nice on her visit to see me, sister is sorted got her a limited edition figure which will be nice in her display thingy-ma-bob. Gifts for me I'm good and don't need owt so happy to just have a roast dinner I don't have to cook or pay myself for.

Sometimes the switch just won't auto-detect speed so try forcing it to 100 full and see if that helps, I know my Laptop didn't want to play ball with a switch at a conference venue the other week so I forced it to 100 full and it was fine then. The newest firmware may have a bug in it, annoying but perfectly possible.

One thing we've found with Dynamic memory is that it can also give some random performance on VMs, admittedly our VMs are used for limited use and testing stuff as our main infrastructure is on VMware but we've actually started putting machines to fixed memory allocations rather than Dynamic due to this as some of them can run like a bag of spanners from it and require a restart to get back to how they should be. Not had time to dig into if something is wrong but most VMs are 2012 R2 on 2012 R2 Hyper V role so its certainly not an old OS "bug" or "feature", the host is a bit old a G6 HP Server but its got a load of resource so seems puzzling it used to be ok till recent times as well...
