Hi, We have the default Windows background set on all machines, and we have also copied an image to "User Account Pictures" on each machine. When I tried the anniversary update in the holidays it breaks all of this and you get a different lock background each day and it also removes the user account pictures. I have downloaded and installed the latest gpo's. I have set this on a computer gpo: Control Panel/Personalization Policy Setting Comment Do not display the lock screen Enabled Force a specific default lock screen and logon image Enabled Path to lock screen image: ‪C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper\Windows\img0.jpg Example: Using a local path: C:\windows\web\screen\lockscreen.jpg Example: Using a UNC path: \\Server\Share\Corp.jpg I have also set Configure Windows spotlight on lock screen Disabled on a user gpo. The background image its getting is before a user locks on so I think its a Computer GPO somewhere. Has anyone done the update and had these issues? Thanks

Just checked on all the switches - its definitely disabled

No mac filter, and they are plugged into different points. There are 4 machines in a room doing it, 2 are seperate the other 2 are plugged into a mini switch, but there is another one on that switch working fine.

Computer not showing in DHCP leases, despite it working this morning. No DHCP errors in event viewer

Rebooted the switch - still the same

Had this again on some machines today. Can't ping a DC when it happens. It gets a 169 address. Can't ping DC IP address either or any other servers. Restart doesn't fix it. Switches are netgear Any ideas?

We use NetSupport DNA and can highly recommend it. Provides excellent e-safety management of keywords, and e-safety alerts / reports. Easy to setup and support from the team is excellent. Runs fine on Server 2012.

I agree. We're starting to use 365 groups more, although cauciously at the moment until microsoft bring in a method of been able to restore a group if it gets deleted. A group has a file limit of 20,000 so that's something to think about. Each group has a discussion group and calendar too.

Trello looks pretty similar to Office 365 planner

Have you any screen shots of it please so I can see what I'm working towards if I go down that route

Is the outlook helpdesk just tasks?

How do people keep a track of their daily / weekly jobs list and calendar appointments? I use the Outlook tasks option and split it into different categories - Immediate, Projects, On going etc. I then schedule time in on my outlook diary to complete the tasks. I also have a to do pad on my desk for the little jobs that come in. What do other people use? I'm thinking of going to a sharepoint site for the IT department so I can assign jobs to the technician too. I'd use outlook groups but there isn't a task list in there as yet. I've tried Office 365 planner but bit too clunky

Plenty of IP addresses left on DHCP. An Ipconfig shows a 169 address. I moved one into a different network wall socket and it works fine. The main computer in the ICT suite did it but it came back online after 30 minutes or so

PS - no errors in DNS / DHCP

Suddenly getting computers loose connection and say "No internet". If you unplug the network cable and plug it back in you get "Unidentified network". Occurring randomly on different machines Any ideas please? Thanks

We have "Enable screen saver" disabled therefore the time out doesn't have an effect

Hi We run Windows 10 + classic shell. The teachers are complaining of the time it takes for the computer to be locked during period of inactivity. Is this a windows 10 GPO setting or classic shell? If it can be set via GPO where is the setting please Thanks

I did the same, did an upgrade from Windows 7, made the image. Its US for everyone !

We have a public IP on a router, and the server has a 192.168 address on it, connected to the router. The server also has an 10.10.6 range on a 2nd network card on our domain. I know I can route traffic between the 2 by using the ROUTE ADD command but can I do it for a specific port? Thanks

If anyone has any questions about NetSupport DNA feel free to PM me. We trialled both Impero and Netsupport and after a great deal from AL, went with Netsupport. It just works ! Support is amazing.

We trialled Impero - was expensive and didn't do everything we needed to. Got NetSupport from Al and its perfect. Doesn't do patch management but we don't need it to. Works great from a network admin and e-safety point of view. Support has been great too - no long queues
