  10. Need more info what is the current system? (e.g. make model of PBX - as many newer will support IP telephony via an add in)
  11. Check an account which is showing up as unauthenticated I bet you will find the AD user settings are not completed all users should have a windows 2000 style user logon name ([email protected], top box of account tab). As Rob mentioned just above this is needed for both admin and users who are going to be browsing via smoothwall.
  12. AVAYA IP500 here, true hybrid system 10 Digital Extensions, 35 IP, and 3 Analogue for fax etc... Connected via ISDN-30 of which 8 lines are utilised. Also connected with Exchange all voicemail is copied to inbox all teaching staff have a virtual extension even if no physical extension/softphone. Digital extensions are deployed solely in main office so in case of network hardware failure (which never happens anyway) school still has a functioning system. System is great as IP/Digital handsets are identical in both look and functionality, and best of all managed in-house!

    Flash Deployment

Am having a major problem with Flash, it keeps removing itself from workstations! I did have a script which installed flash at boot (startup script) but this doesn't seem to be working now. I have tried manual installing on workstations or running my script which both work and install fine but soon as workstations are rebooted flash seems to drop off altogether - it’s not even listed in add remove programs! This is the same if I try either version 9 or 10. I do not have any shutdown scripts deployed and have checked all startup scripts for discrepancies and all seem ok.

Events are all colour coded so you can easily see what effects you, staff out on courses/meetings/annual leave are all displayed no need to chase round looking for someone if they aren't in.

  23. I have a weird problem which has just started happening as of last Thursday, staff are reporting desktop shortcuts to OWA and IE are not working, when you double click the OWA shortcut this loads up a printer dialogue!? IE presents the following error: This is only happening on a small number of clients all staff share the same mandatory profile the majority of which are fine.
