It looks pretty cool, to be honest..... Let's just hope that it can give Jenson and Lewis a shot at another title.

Had BT not been sold off in the 80's, by the Thatcher Government, it would have re-invested it's profits back into the business. It is fair to suggest that we may now be looking at 100meg lines for ALL, and 10Gb lines as standard in most businesses. However, as the profits were taken out of the business by shareholder payouts, we are left with an archaic infrastructure, that no-one can afford to improve without massive government funds being made available.......Funds that this neo-Thatcherite Government will be loath to pass out.

I cry, a little, everytime I visit my sister's house in Wellingborough! They've got 50meg Virgin......I have 256k BT....... I only ever visit if I want something downloaded....but I think she's getting wise to that, and has capped me to 1GB a visit...... You should see the charges when I go over!

Nor will they be..... The good thing about a farm estate is that the soil is always being "turned over", and if you dig deep enough..... LOL!!!

I'm very glad to see that there are NO recorded crimes in my area..... and only 6 in the area of the college! Niiiiiice!

Stone Group IT Recycling Have used these twice, and they have been exceptional both times. First time went without a hitch..... second time, they had trouble with their van, so could only take half. They came back, asap, to pick up all the rest, and it was all done for free. Can't argue with that! *EDIT* They are in Staffs, so should be an easy job for them!

Indeed....But with a smartphone and tweetdeck.... And lots of RT'ing!

That well known thorn in the American side, Michael Moore, has published a dial-up service for Egyptians, with a password and username posted across Twitter. This may help some people get onto the net.

I think it failed on the very first question............. I didn't see one picture of the "neighbourhood" that is close to how I live..... Oh...and I am working class and proud!

2nd go....27492 (Though there were a few rough guesses in there!)

1st go....24867!

I'd say that, more often than not, the referees parentage is being questioned........ My point is that Keys and Gray would never think to sit there and question the ability of a male RA, who was having his first televised game, and yet, because the RA is a woman, they feel that they CAN? That is what is wrong. I think you can......You just cannot end it with.... "You fat bas***d, you fat bas***d, you ate all the pies!"
-
Because it's not just about ONE victim..... What sort of message does it send to other female referees and assistants? That as soon as you get high enough in the game to get a televised fixture, you're going to be judged NOT on what you do, but on how you look? Your abilities are going to be called into question JUST BECAUSE of your gender? Do they often say anything about a new MALE refs assistant? NO...because it's expected that they know the offside rule. As I've said before, if a Referee's Assistant is good enough to be given a top-flight game, then there should be no question of their abilities, regardless of their gender.

I take issue with these points..... It is not that long ago that Atkinson's comments were the norm. Think Alf Garnett of the late 60's/early 70's. Atkinson was behind the times, then, so what makes Keys and Gray any different? And if "at best" they are "behind the times", then what is it, at worst? Sexism? Misogyny? Is it because it's "only against a woman"? That, my friend, is still offensive, whichever way you cut it. Do you mean "...like most Referees Assistants are"?
-
Then what is the point of posting? I refer you to my previous post about Ron Atkinson and Rodney Marsh.....Both sacked from commentating/summarising for unguarded comments on an "off-mic". I also refer you to the furore caused by SKY catching Gordon Brown on an "off-mic" during the last election. Anyone remember "bigot-gate"? ( Also, why does EVERYTHING have to be "-gate"?). SKY were supposed to have switched the mic off, and yet Brown got castigated for it. What's good for the goose? Finally, there are some amongst us who do our very best not to make unguarded comments, so I'd still be employed, thanks. Within a media career, you have to be especially careful about what you say, and take the consequences of any slip of the tongue. That's how it is.

Why is it "political correctness gone mad"? If a woman can do a job as well, or better than a man, is she not best qualified? The young lady in question has proved herself, by running the line, in the lower leagues. Just because she is a woman, does this mean that she should not expect the natural progression up the ranks? Pure cobblers! (And I don't mean Northampton Town....for the Football fans amongst you!) As it is, she makes a blinding decision, and makes Keys and Gray look stupid.....I call that a double whammy! We need to get over the fact that every "ism" is "political correctness gone mad".

The World Will End In 2012 [According To George Lucas]
aerospacemango replied to 6Foot2's topic in General Chat
Yayyyyy! Something else I can blame on those posh twerps!!! The World is ENDING, and it's YOUR fault, Cameron-Clegg! -
Of course they should be sacked. Ron Atkinson, Rodney Marsh, BOTH said offensive things, off-mic, and were given the shove. As these two are the "Faces of Sky Football" you can bet that it will be brushed under the carpet. Personally, I find them BOTH pretty offensive at the best of times.....Part of me hopes that QPR DON'T get promoted, so that my team won't get patronised by these two idiots over the course of next season.

Scripting and Computer description
aerospacemango replied to aerospacemango's topic in How do you do....it?
FOR /F "TOKENS=2* DELIMS=:" %%A IN ('net view %COMPUTERNAME% ^| FIND "Location"') DO FOR %%B IN (%%A) DO SET LOCATION=%%B echo %username% logged Onto: %computername%, %LOCATION%, User Name: %USERNAME%, IPADDRESS:%IP%, MACADDRESS:%macaddress%, Login Time:%time%, Login Date:%date% >> \\domaincontroller\folder\users\%username%.csv This is the add-on that I've had done for the script. This should allow the description to come down....But it may be a case of going round and sorting the machines, one by one, as I'm not convinced that they ALL have "remote" enabled. Thanks for the pointer, CPJ -

Does anyone know if this is possible? ----------------------------------- Yesterday I implemented a batch file on our student domain. This gives us computers in use, users, ip addresses and mac addresses. This is all exported to a folder on the domain controller. This morning, I had the bright idea of, perhaps, being able to get the computer description (Which is where we identify the computer by room number) and dragging that down too. Problem is.....I don't know where to start! Any pointers, anyone? Secondly, if it IS possible....then is it also possible to do anything, by Group Policy, to fire out locations into the computer description, for those that we haven't done? Any thoughts are gratefully received!

Ummmm....I think that goes for just about everything, doesn't it???

For the best part of 30 years, they have been saying that there's not as much overtaking as "in the old days"........ I don't see that the rear-wing will change all that much. I envisage this season to be almost as processional as the last.....BUT, I will be happy to come on here, and take the flak if I am wrong!

All citizens must! (Pic) | Daily Dawdle This is worth a look...... LOL!!

Oh....and one of my favourite pastimes is winding up my brother about his Apple fixation..... I'm pretty ambivalent except for the walled garden rubbish! But, I certainly wouldn't spend £2000 on something that I could build for £1000-£1200....That just wouldn't make sense!
