  1. That's no way to look at it! You'd have the iPhoney as your work phone...so you could prance around with a big smile saying how great it is....and then when you finish....you go back to your first love....the HTC! It'll be like having an affair, without the worry of getting caught with your pants down!!!
  2. Scale of Universe - Interactive Scale of the Universe Tool Epic!
  3. @DAZZD88 Thing to remember is.......... Follow your dreams! It may not be the greatest job in the world, and may well be entirely sales driven, but if YOU feel you need a change of direction, and you FEEL that this might be a good step to take, then don't listen to anyone else! Take the plunge! You can always come back to this sort of thing....maybe not in education, but maybe in Private Sector. At 22, you have another 40+ years of working....Don't let that figure depress you, but look at the positives. You will want to find something that you would like to do for the next 5 years. This could be that job. No-one, when they are 22, wants to think of the next 40 years....you're just interested in the next 5....so do what you feel is right! And the very best of luck to you!!! *EDIT* P.S. To everyone else...Please don't think that I am belittling your comments, as I do not mean to cause offence. I did a year working in a McD's, at 16, so I know what it's like to work for a pittance! Every person's opinion IS valid, and should not influence DAZZ too much, either way.
  4. The Trip - BBC2 Although I have no love for either Steve Coogan, or Rob Brydon, I found it to be a very well acted, and touching portrait of 2 people travelling around. If you could get past Brydon and his impressions every 5 mins!
  5. SCORE | 260 Record 70 Longest Line 48 That'll do for me
  6. http://www.27bslash6.com/overdue.html That's who you're thinking of.... Deffo NSFW!!! (Though on a quiet day, it makes fantastic reading...all of it!)
  7. Just out of interest...what is it that makes you say that??? I love Family Guy...and haven't noticed any significant drop off
  8. Wot no Scrubs???? Oh, and Family Guy too! Thank the lord of tv for Sky+! Freshly installed and already got lots of FG on there!!!
  9. I managed 6.1m............... Most of it on my knee though! Yayyyy! 11m !!!!
  10. It's quite incredible that Newcastle go for a man with more...."managerial experience"...and they bring in Pardew. His experiences are taking West Ham to the Cup Final, albeit just a few minutes away from winning it until Gerrard popped up with a screamer, and Charlton Athletic, who he managed to relegate from the PL. Is it the best man to take Newcastle forward?
  11. cyanogenmod is supposed to be coming out for the GT540.... So, I'll wait til it does, flash it, and then have a look!
  12. What phone are you on, Domino?
  13. So....Off to Perth we go, with a 1-0 series lead in our back pockets! A truly stellar performance from the England boys, especially on the last morning, with the weather on the horizon. Chris...What changes do you think your selectors will make for the next test? Doherty & Bollinger out, Johnson and Hauritz back in? Be interested in your POV on this. Come on ENGLAND!!!! You can do it!!!
  14. Hi everyone, My name is Mango, and it's now 2 years and 3 months since I last "played for hours at a time". I used to need my fix of CoD, Battlefield, Half Life etc etc, but I've managed to break the addiction. Also, having a 6 year old, and a job working with PC's is not conducive to wanting to play for hours! Oh, and the OH isn't too keen on it either! I can get away with the occasional hour....here and there...but any more than that, feels like I am wasting family time.
  15. *cough* Dario Gradis' 28 years at Crewe Alex *cough*
  16. Thank you, Dazz....Thank you!!! Yes, I REALLY am old enough to remember when the best team in English football, that year, missed out on the title by 1 point! We went into the UEFA Cup, instead of the European Cup. We would've gone on to be the best team in England and Europe, and Liverpool would've just been another team from up north! We'd've probably bought Dalglish too, and dominated! Nurse, nurse....Do you have my pills ready? The madness has crept up on me again!!!!
  17. Hughton being sacked actually makes good sense. It gives the new boss 3-4 games to have a look at the squad, before the January window opens.... Then, you'd hope (as a Toon) that the new man gets plenty of cash to spend on bringing in "his" players, thus cataputling Newcastle into mid-table mediocrity, and not a relegation dogfight. Which, in this correspondant's opinion,, is where they were headed! As for my boys....QPR are TOP of the League by 4 points AND a game in hand! Up the Rrrrrrrr'ssss!!! *EDIT* As for Liverpool, I think that Hodgson should be given at least a full season. The man CAN manage, and I think that Liverpool will be there or thereabouts for a top 6 place, come the end of the season. Mind you....what do I care? I'm still pi**ed at them for pipping us to the League Championship in 75-76 season. WE could have been the dominant force in English football!!! Bleeding Toshack and Keegan scoring against Wolves in the last 15 mins....GRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!
  18. The game has actually been doing a great deal to cut out the tumour that is hooliganism. As a non-football person, I don't expect you to know that. What I do expect, maybe unfairly, is a decent amount of intelligence in a post. Football hooliganism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia This would give you some background as to where the situation is much worse than England. It will not surprise you to see that the UK has, possibly, the longest entry, but Croatia and Argentina run us close. It may also interest you (though perhaps not!) that since the introduction of mobile phones and the internet, Dutch and German hooligan contact each other for the very reason of having a fight. http://nds.coi.gov.uk/content/detail.aspx?NewsAreaId=2&ReleaseID=416800&SubjectId=2 Arrests at Football grounds drop by more than 10% SHOCKER! Hmmmm...That can't be right, surely? EDIT* As you can guess, I am a fervent football supporter, who would've LOVED to be able to take his, then 14 year old, son to the World Cup in 2018. Do you think I want to take my son to Russia? A country where they STILL throw bananas at African players? Where they unfurl banners of racist intent? Fortunately, most of that has left OUR modern game....But, I await 2018 with bated breath, as Ghana, or some other African nation take to the pitch. At least our crowds would have shown ALL nationalities the respect they deserve.
  19. I wouldn't trust the FA with a kids party...... AND, they are probably AS corrupt as FIFA! A rather simplistic view, there, from a non-football fan. If you bothered to do any research, you would discover that Italy, Germany and Holland ALL have bigger hooligan problems than our country.....But it IS so much simpler to go with a stereotype. If the media say we're the worst then don't bother finding out, just trot out a few lines and wait for the applause. Do you not think there will be reasonable amounts of hype from Brazil for the 2014 World Cup? And as for Qatar in 2022....I expect the hype machine to go into overdrive. I, for one, cannot wait for the 2012 Olympics to be held in MY country. I am PROUD that we put ourselves up for these tournaments, even if we don't get them.
  20. Well said, Steve! This was my thought, once the actual announcement was out of the way. It has become clear over the last 20 years that FIFA and UEFA just do not like us. Michel Platini, wondrous footballer that he was, has already stated (on many occasions) that he would like to bring English football down a peg or two. You could almost hear him choking on his croissant when the Premier League had 3 out of 4 teams in the Champions League Semi-Finals. It is time that FI(MA)F(I)A was taken out of the equation. Let's start a new federation, with completely open voting systems. And whilst we're there, take the Australian megalomaniac away from the rights to Premier League football, and return the game to the people!
  21. If he needs someone to fly over and accompany him to the MCG.......... LOL!!!!
  22. If you can make it to Victoria....Get yourself to Melbourne! I love it, there, and spent a couple of weeks there, 3 years ago. The MCG is a fantastic place to visit. Even my OH enjoyed wandering around this impressive stadium.....But, that may not be your thing! Therefore....the Healesville sanctuary, although quite a way out of Melbourne, is worth a visit too! I would love to have gone to Uluru, and Alice Springs, as well as Coober Pedy. Make sure you plan what you wanna do, as the time will fly by, and before you know it....you're on your way home! EDIT* Though some people don't like the idea of a planned, almost regimented, visit it is worth considering so that you see all that you want to! It's a long way to go, to come back thinking "Oh...I wish I'd gone there!" Also, don't be too worried about jet-lag....You may find that it doesn't affect you too badly....or you may find it's a horror. But whichever it is....try to make the most of each and every hour! And get in with the locals, because they are brilliant people!!!!
  23. Gooooood question Sam. That would be invaluable here too! Far too many tutors (and support staff) think it's fine to go right up to their quota, and then get on the phone and beg for more. I would be most interested to find something that would show this, and allow them to delete stuff.
  24. chris, I properly respect your support for your team, and I'm surprised by your wish to put money on us! I see us winning the series 2-1, but it COULD still go horribly wrong. Tooheys IS a decent enough beer.....At least it managed to get me legless on Melbourne Cup day, 3 years ago!!!
  25. I think that's an excellent piece of news, for ya! I've just been told that the 3 days are going to come out of my annual entitlement, so if someone is getting a good deal....that's fine by me!!!
