Short-throw projectors
aerospacemango replied to Flatpackhamster's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
Gotta say.... Now they are all in, and the tutors are back, they seem to love them. They really are very very good. Had bright sunshine in a classroom, whilst testing, and they performed exceptionally well. Money well spent for our college. -
Index of /albunes de futbol/inglaterra Nope....not a joke based on tonight's performance, but a pictorial guide of every England tournament squad since 1962.

Clickview and its legalities
aerospacemango replied to peteraseddon's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
We use it too....mainly as a repository for stuff off the telly. I will check, tomorrow, on the legalities, as it's not really part of our department (other than the server). -
[news] Classic Hybrid Contraption
aerospacemango replied to featured_spectre's topic in Jokes/Interweb Things
That is a quite stunning car...YES, really! Personally, I think that it's so strange that it is beautiful.....if I had £30k, I'd buy it! -
Why would he keep messing about with it, like that? I don't understand his motivation, unless it really IS all about the money. I know I won't be buying them, as the extra adds nothing to the film. I was MOST shocked to see that in the DVD release of Return of the Jedi, when they're having the party with the ewoks, at the end, the original Darth Vader had been excised. Mind you, about 10 years ago, I had a friend who met an american girl in a bar in London. Turned out that she was the daughter of George's ex-wife. She used to get some ridiculous amount credited to her account each month. They ended up moving into a nice flat in Chelsea, which he kitted out with massive screen, and all the goodies. Even went to dinner and sat next to the formerly "great man". I did suggest that next time they met, he asked "George.....Jar jar Binks....WHY?" Sadly, the relationship died after about a year.

[joke] Mary Poppins Decided To Grow Some Vegetables

And you both took the time to type those out??? LOL!!! -
The "local butcher" vs "National conglomerate" were put into sharp relief for me, a few years ago..... My sister is an accountant, and was doing a software install and start-up for a food company in Suffolk. Whilst she was there, she asked about the quality of the meats that the supermarkets buy, and was told this...... A Quality - Waitrose, M&S B Quality - Sainsburys, Asda, Morrison C Quality - Tesco, Safeway, D Quality - Aldi, Lidl I'm pretty sure that's how it went.....But it got me thinking. If you have a good local butcher, it is much more worthwhile to use them, as you can pretty much guarantee the quality of the meat, whereas if Tesco / Aldi are the closest supermarkets, there's no saying what the meat will be like. Also, you are keeping your money in the local community

What a great little film.... Anyone who's played league cricket will appreciate that!

He makes a few good points about the market, as a whole, but I don't believe he's completely right. It IS the iPad market, at the mo, but that IS changing. The rather childish points about how Google name their Android builds is a distraction from what he's trying to say. In some ways, the man is a fool.

Minimal Mac | Disruptive Not something I necessarily agree with, but you might find it interesting in your own debate.

I also think that you're ALWAYS going to get 2 different views. There are 2 camps, and both will have their say. Reckon you ought to just make a decision, and then tell US why!

Is she any different to those other "celebrities" Jordan/ Katie Price or Jodie Marsh? I once saw Marsh in Sainsbury's in Brentwood. She was leaning over, packing her shopping into bags, and i couldn't help noticing that ... 1) She was VERY short! 2) She was orange....yes...ORANGE! 3) She must be airbrushed to within an inch of her life. These are women who do the "Feminist Movement" no service whatsoever. These are the sort of women who are paraded across the tabloids and glossy mags which persuades your daughters that they NEED to be a size zero. This is the picture of a woman that is being sent out as the true image. This is...oh wait....that's enough ranting....back to Big Brother....What a crock of SH..... Nurse? Nurse? Where are my dried frog pills?

I have to agree with you, there, TechMonkey! And, sadly, I have to agree with YOU, there, MK-2! Honestly? I think she was pepsi'd out of her face! (Is that the right soft drink???) She could hardly speak, hardly walk, and looked a pale shadow of the beautiful woman in Scrubs! No wonder JD ditched her! Oh wait....she ditched him! That's a bullet dodged then!!!

I've gotta say that I'd come down on the side of the Galaxy tab. It has a better spec, and that's what you're paying for. Having evaluated an iPad2 for college, I liked it a lot, but as with both tablets, I struggled to come up with a reason to buy it!

I always thought it was "crimping off a length"?? -
Well said, that man! Heartily agree....seems everyone on twitter is using the same joke about Cesc. As for the Swansea result.....as a QPR fan, I'm in no position to laugh at them....except that the 4th goal lifted us off the bottom! Thank you, Sergio Kun Aguerro!!
-
Oh...so you didn't turn it off that often then!!!!

I LOVE my job! I've been here 3 years, and not a day goes past where I don't think "I'm lucky to be doing something I Love!" However, I'm looking to move to Northants, from Suffolk, so I will inevitably be leaving That will be really hard.....
-
OH! That is HARSH!!!! And what's this "Man U...formerly Liverpool fan" business? You can change your wife, you can change your underwear (allegedly!), but you can never change your team!!! Especially to the biggest rivals!
-
Sorry if that sounded a bit wrong, Chris, as that was not my intention! (Especially after the nice email LOL!) I do agree that there is far too much "what i had for dinner" type tweets, but I tend to steer clear of those. (Though I have been known to announce the imminent opening of a bottle of wine!) As I say, the ability to find people that you may not have seen for 20 years is invaluable....For instance, my ex was able to trace 3/4 people that i hadn't seen for 25 years to come to my 40th (2 years ago!). Without that kind of social networking, I probably still wouldn't know where they were! It still amazes me, to this day, that there are 360+ people who want to read my tweets! And even more so, when someone famous follows me.....Is that just me that wonders about that? (Talking of which.....I'm now being followed on G+ by Graham Linehan.....Anyone who doesn't know who he is....well...I'd be amazed, on here of all places!)

Whoa there! That may be the point of some people's twitter/FB feeds....but I have had slightly differing experiences! Over the past 6 months, I have had tickets bought for me, by season ticket holders, to football games....to ensure I get them! I've also had tickets for a top-rated TV show, and am getting more as well (Gold VIP tickets....None of your shabby audience tickets for me!!!). I've found long lost friends. I've had bitter arguments. All because of Twitter and FB. It's not ALL about what you had for lunch...but if some people CHOOSE to put that up, then unfollow/unfriend! I like the fact that it keeps me in touch with like-minded individuals (Mainly fellow QPR fans!!)

@aerospacemango There's a surprise!!!

Has anyone else played Alliance of Valiant Arms? Got told about this yesterday, so went home and d/l'ed it straight away.... For a freebie, it is pretty special! Was getting caned on my first map, but with a few tweaks of the control system, I was off and running. Nice graphics, and decent maps (so far as I've seen) Well worth a look, if you like FPS! Oh..and runs like a dream on 64bit W7, with quad-core and 4gb!

It's not about being tight......It's about having some morals. I realise that on the day after the riots in London, morals are a bit of a touchy subject, but let's face it.....Sky are responsible for all the ills in football....you want the same for F1? Good luck to you, but I'll stick to half the races on BBC, and highlights packages. Sky are joint owned (about 30%, I believe) by News Corp...That's ANOTHER reason to have morals.
