I do love the way that people are saying that causing criminal damage would be an acceptable way to have this thing moved / removed. Surely that is tantamount to criminal activity in itself? I have a colleague that i work with, that I'm not particularly keen on....You might as well suggest I rub him out.... It's all the same!

B*gger!!! Been looking forward to BF3.

Is there a link for the beta for PC?

I defy you NOT to love it!! I had it installed on my LG GT540, so i know it'll work a treat on the desire! Funniest thing happened to me at the weekend.... My brother, who has a HTC Sensation, had been on to me about Swype for ages, and despite me telling him where he could get it, he'd never actually taken the time to download it...... So, we're at my son's 7th birthday party, and he sidles up to me... "Help me find Swype, cos it ain't on the market" "Ok, let me have a look at your phone, first" He hands it over, I go into setting, etc and what do I find? Settings for the native version of Swype  D'Oh!!!
-
What phone do you have, Los? On most recent Android releases, it comes as standard. You just need to go into the "Settings" > "Locale and Text" > "Select input Method" and Swype should be there. If not, go to Swype | Text Input for Screens and sign up! It revolutionises texting/tweeting/emailing, etc!
-
I LOVE Swype! I have converted all my family (those with Androids!) to swype, as it is , by far, the easiest input method that I've found. There is nothing like it for speed, accuracy, and intuitiveness. It does like it's American spellings though......!!

Got a Galaxy S and found a decent generic holder on ebay for around £6. I first had it for my LG, but the Galaxy fits and is well held. What I WOULD like to know is if there's a decent in-car charger, as I have 3, and none of them charge properly! (Is that a Galaxy fault?)

I cannot condone giving teachers local admin rights on their laptops. The inherent risks in this far outweigh the benefits. In my experience, once a teacher has rights, they'll start putting stuff all over it, and before you know it, you're re-imaging it anyway. It may well be worth speaking to your HT about the situation, and how swamped you are/have been. The school NEEDS to invest in its IT department, and either pay you more, and take away the teaching, or get you an assistant/ junior techie. In your current state, if you are happy giving them local admin, then do it, as you sound as if you're aware of the risks, anyway. Good luck, fella......You need any advice, keep popping your head in!

Never seen this before..... Possibly a bit NSFW, once you get 9 mins in!!!

Lovely to see the B-52's and B1B's....Oh, and the A10's too! So much aluminium, steel, etc, there that I'm sure if they got round to breaking them all up, the world price would fall through the floor! -

I've set this up on my girlfriends laptop...via her live account. Was very easy to do. Made sure that the accounts in question were locked out after certain times, and although her kids moaned a bit (12 + 15) they've soon got used to it. I will use this on my own 7 year old, in time! -

Early scientists believed that the earth was the centre of the universe.... That belief was allowed to change! Religion has not changed in a thousand years! I know which I believe in..... -

Greedo Torres? It's possible.....There is a certain family resemblance there....!!!

But he sits there with his blaster ALREADY levelled at Solo! And Solo WOULD have shot first, if he gets his hands on HIS blaster (as he does in the original!). I'm with Simon Pegg..... Lucas needs to find his marbles again, cos I think he's lost a few!
-
But, as an (already mentioned) 8 year old boy....that would've made no sense to me! Why would you send someone who doesn't know how to fire a blaster? Surely, that would be almost as criminally negligent as, oh I don't know, leaving an exhaust port unguarded to an attack from a small fighter?
-
Should that excuse his inability to hit someone with a blaster from less than 6 ft though? As I remember (and I was 8 at the time) everyone wanted to be Han, cos he was cool! My mate, cos he was older than me, made me be Luke.....I should've protested more....but he WAS bigger than me! Mind you, cos it was in my house, I got to use the swivel chair, and shout out "I got one!"
-
Have to disagree with you, there, Pies.... They are not for children, but for all ages. The revisionism that is taking place over some scenes is quite appalling. Take Han and Greedo for instance..... In the original, Han shoots Greedo, gets up, pays the barman for the mess, and walks out. In the newer versions, Greedo shoots, misses, and Han shoots and kills. Now, this doesn't make sense..... Greedo is a bounty hunter, and is sitting no more than 6ft from his target. You'd have to be a very poor shot to miss your target at that range, especially when the target doesn't move. How on Tatooine did he ever make a living as a bounty hunter??? Secondly, by having Greedo shoot first, you are changing the basic premise of Solo as a person. He was a gun runner, and took illegal shipments on board the Falcon. Therefore, he's NOT squeaky clean! But the new revision is to make him appear a bit whiter. This is wrong, IMO. He was a rogue, albeit a loveable rogue, and that is what drew Leia to him. George should really stop messing now!

How long has the Beta been going? They're still talking about testing it, so i signed up...purely on the offchance!!
-
I'm pretty certain that whatever it is, should you try to open it, or damage it in any way, the relevant people will have you up before the beak on criminal damage charges. Even though it is in the way of your drive, it wasn't when it was first installed, all those years ago. I'd make further enquiries, if I was you, as you could, otherwise, find yourself being taken down an unwelcome route.....
-
Back up to your drive on the server! Did I say Back up? You might want to Back up! BACK UP People!!! That's what I'd put! (I put a sign for Back Up through GP so that it comes up before anyone logs on......They STILL don't do it!!)

Ok....so there I was getting back into bed, when the phone rings...... I answer, to find a ring tone, and then a voice says "Hello, I'm phoning to tell you about problems with your computer" YES! I think....I may be feeling crappy, but this could cheer me up loads! The opportunity to wind up some idiot is almost too much for me! Anyway, he says that there are problems, so I ask what sort of problems. He says that every time I open IE, files on my PC are sending stuff out to the internet! I gasp in mock horror! "What can I do?" "Turn your PC on, and I can show you where the problems are" At that point, the line disconnected Back to bed I go!!!

How do we enter the trial????? I'd be most interested! *EDIT* Just checked out the link, and it does look pretty impressive. Coming in at the same size as the Samsung one that I saw a couple of days ago.
