Hi all, We missed a Panorama programme last week due to low signal strength again (as Jona mentioned in another post). Does anyone still have "Train Fares: Taken for a Ride?" which was broadcast on Monday 23rd January, 8.30pm on BBC1 that they could upload to the exchange? Many thanks, Dave

Hi, This is a request I've just had in but the programme was aired too far back in the year for me to retrieve on Clickview. I have had a look on the exchange and all (but one) are episodes from Season 1. I would be grateful if you could upload whatever you have. The episode guide on the BBC website is at BBC Two - James May's Things You Need to Know - Episode guide Thanks in advance, Josh

Recently I was installing the ClickView Player trial for one of my schools and was struck by the lack of centralized configuration for the player software. In fairness there is really only one required setting which is the server which you can easily initially setup by adding an A record to DNS pointing "clickview" to the appropriate IP address. Their advice was simply to change the server name then change it back which is fine if you have nothing else on it. Also this method does not account for changing the server and as the installer does not clean up its registry keys on uninstall a redeploy is out of the question. After fighting with the MSI to try and make a transform I decided that it would be much simpler to make an ADM/ADMX template to specify it. This also make changing the server trivial. As this key is not in the managed area of the registry you must remove filtering for it to show on older Windows XP/2003 setups. To do this go to the view menu and click filtering, then untick "Only show policy setting that can be fully managed" As the key is part of the machine registry hive the setting is simply under a ClickView folder under Administrative Templates inside computer configuration. You just need to specify the server in the same policy that you use to push the software and it all works. ClickView.zip

Does anyone have any experience of using Discovery Education content for a MAT across primary and secondary. I heard the Coding content is good for KS1&2 and Espresso news is good, but not hearing great things about the secondary content. I used Clickview before and liked that. Any advice or alternatives to look at?

This summer the secondary school I am a technician at will be switching from Moodle to Frog. I have read up all the post on here, and elsewhere about Frog, but wanted to hear back about some of the problems that others have encountered when switching VLE. I have read that some people had problems with using Frog with IE 9, and haven't found out if such problems have been resolved. Just any notes that anyone has on the set-up/transfer from Moodle or other VLE's, and what work can be expected would be greatly appreciated. Also we have renewed our licence with ClickView, which integrates with Frog as well, any notes on this would also be appreciated. Last of all will Frog be able to integrate with library software, we are currently using autolib library software, again any notes would be appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you very much in advance if you reply.

Was shown on Channel 4 Awaiting more info from the teacher...

Hi, has anyone got a recording of the Final of Masterchef the Professionals from this year (episode 24) they'd be willing to put on clickview exchange. It was broadcast on 12th December 2013 at 8.00pm on BBC2 Thanks

Hi all We have clickview and our 500GB drive where the library sits is just about full. How do other people store and share their library? I was looking at a NAS box solution but not sure if its the right way to go. Thanks

I am hoping that someone can either upload the whole of bbc breakfast or just the segment on Idents from around 7:50 a.m as it would be really useful for our media course and my 24-7 box is currently out of action. Cheers, Darren

Finally got HD encoding working and its now ploughing its way through the encoding process but I've already exceeded the 500GB limit. Currently it's set to sync everthing (ClickView Primary, ClickView Secondary, Discovery Edcuation, National Geographic and school videos). I was wondering how others manage their online libraries. What do you sync? How much space are you using? Thanks Andrew

Hi all, I've been having issues with our 24-7 server (It's one of the original ClickView Models) and was thinking of making a new box for it to reside on, just wanted to know what setups people are running elsewhere, whether they are clickview boxes or something that you have built. Machine spec and O/S info would be great, and if anyones had issues with building their own box. Cheers.

Does anyone have the following programme that they could upload to the exchange? Horizon – What is Reality? Broadcast on Monday 17th January 21:00 1 Hr long. I'd be ever so grateful!

Hi all, Does anyone use Clickview as a DVD library? My wife is an English teacher and she says she has seen it at a meeting in a neighboring school. Essentially it's a library where you can store DVD's in DivX format and stream them to computers on your network. It seems pricey and you get access to BBC iplayer programmes etc. It sounds like an excellent tool as teachers are always losing DVD's or scratching them but how does it comply legally? As far as I was aware, ripping a whole DVD and putting it on the network to stream to multiple classrooms was illegal even if it was for use in the classroom. I just wanted to get a flavour for what people thought on this issue. Pete

Hello everybody I have a problem with the Clickview DVR (library manager 1.7.4) running on Windows XP SP3. After recording a video in through the DVR, choosing the auto chapter option (set to 5 minute chapters) and then adding to the library, I find that the chapters overlap by 30 seconds! So what happens is you play the video (through player), it gets to the end of the chapter, loads the next chapter but the video for that chapter start 30 seconds before it should so the chapters look like this: Chapter 1: 0.00 - 5.00 Chapter 2: 4.30 - 9.30 Chapter 3: 9.00 - 14.00 Chapter 4: 13.30 - 18.30 and so on... Can you see where the chapters go back 30 seconds each time? Everything seems okay according to the time display but it clearly is not! When I use 10 minute chapters, the overlap is 60 seconds per chapter. Have any ClickView users come across this before? I'm using Windows XPSP3 with a HVR1700 TV card. Regards Marty

Hi guys, Our IT section in ClickView is pretty lonely at the moment, we have a couple of 'reports' on Facebook and the social web but I would be interested in having more hardware or software related programmes (or even more social networking stuff!). If you have any in your arsenal, I would be thankful if you could upload to the Exchange and post a link or description in here! Thanks everyone.

Good Morning Forum, We have a Digital Video Recorder setup for the school to record live Television but i have this persistent error appearing when scheduling multiple recordings - I have had sucessful recording but this is just becoming to common know. The following error messages that prompt are the following. "The ClickView Digital Video Recorder could not switch to a Digital TV Channel. Please Restart CVR and try again" Then another.. "the CVR was unable to start capturing the process" I followed the recommended installation procedures and suggestions what could possibly be the issue? Thank you very much James

Shown on Channel 4. Awaiting on more info from the teacher....

Morning all, I was wondering if anybody could perhaps shed some light onto why this might be happening. I've got about 6 DVD's produced by Viewtech to record onto the Clickview Library, but when I insert the DVD and look at the preview on the Clickview Digital Video Recorder, the image doesn't "hold" it will flicker vertically - the closest I can compare it to is when an old VCR tape will have tracking issues. This happens on all the viewtech DVD's, but the issue does not occur with any other DVD's. The Viewtech DVD's will play fine from a PC in say Windows Media Player. I've never encountered this sort of issue before, and an stuck trying to find a reason why this is happening or a suitable work around. Has anybody else had similar issues, or are able to shed some light onto why this might be occuring? The Clickview Manager software is Version 2.2.0.20 The Capture Card is a Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1700 Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hello, all.. We've recently embraced the 21st century, and have introduced a wireless architecture within one of our schools For InfoSec reasons, it uses IPV6 via a tunnel and all kinds of shenanigans. On the wireless devices, you need to use the FQDN to get to any device - trying to connect to the IP4 address won't work. I've put ClickView player on one of the laptops and it refuses to talk to the ClickView server. I've made sure I'm using the fqdn in the preferences, but it still seems to be trying to go out via IP4. Has anyone had any experience of ClickView over this kind of setup? Regards, Gerard

Hi guys, Unfortunately our ClickView server only stores a month-and-a-bit worth of programmes and a teacher has just requested the series. As it dates back to November, I can only get the final episode (8/8 - Sportswear). Would anyone on here be willing to upload what you have? BBC One - Young Apprentice - Episode guide Thanks, Josh

Missed Episode 2 on Last week Monday Night. If anyone has it I would really appreciate it on the Exchange. Willing to swap Ep 1 + 3 for it ;-) T

Hi all Does anybody have the final episode of The returned "The Horde" from Channel 4 broadcast on 28th July 2013 that they could upload to clickview exchange? I was recording the series for our French department on our 24/7 but the tuner lost 3 channels inc Ch4 over that weekend and had to be re-tuned to get them back. Haven't seen it repeated since. Regards Richard.
