That might explain what I have been seeing, the agent knows an update is required but just sits there on some of our workstations and therfore did not upgrade on their own. I found re-image with fog and redeploy the agent much quicker option.

Some of our students were changing the colour temp settings, so I used software restriction policy to block access to the control panel extension. I looked at reg keys to block rotation but it didn't work, it looks like the reg settings are connected to the monitor type. Our final approach was to show staff how to put it back again.

Strange that, we have gs724t switches, one machine yesterday would not show an active network connection, swapped the lead, and the point still nothing. Removed The machine to our office and it worked straight away. I put it down to an issue withe the image of the workstation. Re-imaged last night and plan to return it today.

I have put a script into the startup folder of the startmenu, when I came across this issue awhile back. Seems to work fine there. Alternatively you could check, wait and check again, maybe a few times then fail.

We use netgear switches, and my understanding is, for devices such as VoIP which will auto tag traffic you set the port to tagged on that vlan. A workstation that needs to be on vlan 20 would be marked as untagged on vlan 20 and its pvid set to 20. Therfore all traffic entering the port would be tagged as vlan 20. Traffic on the uplink ports 21,22,23,24 should be untagged on every vlan that you want to leave the switch. Likewise untagged at the other end. Hope that helps.

Our air con fail over night a few months back, it burnt out, common fault according to the engineer. I got to work to calls that "we can't log in" the primary domain controller had overheated and shut down. The room was like an oven so I had to shut everything down until the air con was repaired. Took about 4 hours including the call out. 😨

I'm sure I read somewhere that admin accounts take longer than a normal user.

We use small CD players, the mfl staff use them close to exam time to get the students familiar with their operation. Also keep a spare just in case.

Hi, not sure if I had this one, but check if the SQL service is running, the password for the user running the service may have been changed or the permission to run as local service revoked. I know MS just changed a lot of security holes concerning stored passwords in services and GPO's

I have a Sony xperia and had the same issue, my password was very complex and started with a leading ; when I stripped this off I could complete the setup.

Hi Nick, just been trying this with one of our iPads, I don't see the option to add the suffix. current version is: HAP+ Web v9.6.0929.1500 Upgrade. I did have an issue after in place upgrade with the services Activated tick, restored my previous Web.config file and the problem went away.

Hi its to do with filtering, try adding Googlevideo.com into your allowed lists. Worked for us.

We had the same issue, it started with a few clients then spread to the whole network. We have IE10 with auto update set, latest versions of Java & flash.
