Bin off any wireless and use homeplugs or cabling where possible. Look at what sort of backups are being done. Check the spec of PC's and do a software audit to remove any rubbish Check the AV and replace if needed Check the hardware to see if any of it is junk. Replace screens with something larger replace keyboards and mice. Give them training sessions on how to use windows 7 dock, shake etc etc.

We've recently had a student loopback a cable into an unmanaged switch ( SW1), unforautnely I flattened the managed switch (SW2) it was plugged into. Should / Would loop protection protect against this or does it only work on the switch itself?

Buy my house, Buy a sporty Audi, invest enough to give me 30k a year to live on. I wouldn't give up my job but I would sport a slightly more carefree attitude to people and my workload. Fairly sure i'd start wearing slippers to work and would have a fountain in my office though.

Obvious ones are new UPS , better backups, server to house MDT/SCCM . Otherwise it depends on what you've got.

Super Other thing to check is which wireless your using, Check that the pings between devices are consistent and then maybe look at the fact that bonjour might be blocked somewhere. I'm slightly confused by the fact your using wireless dongles, It should work so long as its on the same network regardless of connection type ( wired, or wireless).

Dear Mr Teacher. I'm sure you tech is doing a great job, perhaps you would like to direct them to this forum themselves though?. There is nothing worse than when someone else interferes with your work and the fact you said you've got it working fine at home already suggests that you don't truly grasp what your tech is doing ( I can cook at home, it doesn't mean i'm Gordon Ramsey). There are a million questions we will need to ask to sort out the problem ( I wish it were only a case of pressing F12 ) I don't wish to seem unwelcoming but its akin to the situation when little Jonny comes into school and tells you that his dad "does" science and tells you how to do your job ( because its so easy of course) . It won't endear you to your ICT team at all I'm afraid no matter how good your intentions.

Jpeg size increases size by 10 fold when sent to printer
strawberry replied to Snookered's topic in Windows
Have a look at the resolution the files are being saved as. Anything bigger than 1024*768 is natively about the size of a screen, with new cameras with high resolution you can commonly find huge pictures that natively are about the same size as a projection. Changing the res on every school owned camera/ipad/teachers phone/teachers camera/parents camera is going to be difficult but image resizer is a good piece of software that can assist in changing resolutions. https://imageresizer.codeplex.com/ Maybe script it and ask all staff to save photos to a P drive? -
Coolio. Its the wing mirrors on 125s that make them look small. Get rid of those and the l plates and people wouldn't need the big bike look!
