is the pc joined to a domain?, are you and student/s using roaming profiles? Do you have different GP's for students/you?

The thing is that most IT folk could do AV, if they were given clear instructions and budget to do so. I don't get involved because the teachers want unrealistic things so I have to send them to a pro A/V company because I can't deliver on the unrealistic expectations.

Not a chance here, I work 8 till 4, that's reasonable enough. If they run out of ink outside of those hours then they can use another printer or wait. If you dish out consumables they will be used when not needed ( Printer was low, colour wasn't bright enough, it printed mono...) and you'll not be able to keep a decent inventory. Plus TBH they will end up going home.

With my pedantic hat on, I do nothing regarding Esafety unless asked by the designated officer!. In reality I use Italc to monitor student computers, spot checks on TMG, have access to CCTV to observe student crowding. I also ensure posters are in place and take part in disciplinary hearings so I can advise and learn.
