Hello We are running RDS connection broker on server 2012. Some user can connect without any issue and others unable to connect on second password prompt (they can login to the remote apps page but after download opening the remote app it ask for user name and password). It keeps saying invalid logging details. Checking the event log I get the following error. The Kerberos client received a KRB_AP_ERR_MODIFIED error from the server xx-xx$. The target name used was HTTP/portal.xx.com. This indicates that the target server failed to decrypt the ticket provided by the client. This can occur when the target server principal name (SPN) is registered on an account other than the account the target service is using. Ensure that the target SPN is only registered on the account used by the server. This error can also happen if the target service account password is different than what is configured on the Kerberos Key Distribution Center for that target service. Ensure that the service on the server and the KDC are both configured to use the same password. If the server name is not fully qualified, and the target domain (xx.com)is different from the client domain (xx.com), check if there are identically named server accounts in these two domains, or use the fully-qualified name to identify the server. We use per device cal and there are plenty cal available. I don't understand why it is working for some devices but not the other. Any guide us which way we should start to troubleshoot. Update- It is working for clients within the same network but getting login attempt failed if it is outside network for the same client machine. For some users it is working from over the internet. Really confused. Thanks

Hello All, It would be really useful for us if you share the following information Do you have remote phone support with any 3rd party company? If you have, are you happy with their service and can you recommend them? What is the total number of students in your school? What hours of the day ICT Support covered for? How many ICT Support staff within your Team (please mention part time/full time)? Do you provide support to any other feeder school? If you do what is the size? Many thanks for your input. Kind Regards M Uddin

Esafety and Safeguarding in school is a hot topic for schools. I wonder how other schools are tackling it. We have here impero running but it has its own limitation my feeling it is not covered 100%. Sometimes the automatic service fail to start, Edge not supported yet etc, the reporting feture is not great. Confide option works but the information not stored for future report. It would be good to know what software you guys are using to safeguarding purpose. It you also using BYOD then how you are pulling those keywords. Many Thanks Milon

Hello All, There will be 4 new classrooms from September for our school and we need to decide whether to install Epsom 595wi interactive projector or just C touch or Genee touch screens. Initial cost of touch screens are high but very low maintenance, better quality picture. They come with 7 years of warranty. On the other hand interactive projectors are low cost but it will degrade the quality in the long run. Can you please share your thoughts. Many Thanks Milon

Hello Can you please share how your network setup if you are running VOIP, it would be usefull. Let me explain our situation We are running alcatel SIP phones which is on its own vlan. We have several vlans(data, voice, wireless) running on the network. Most of the switches are managed hp procurve. But we have few unmanaged switches in different areas which basically extending few extra network points. All the cabinets are connected with fibre. Now call quality of all internal calls fine. Occationally we having issues with external calls. It is always the external end cannot hear us properly(robotic noise). We can always hear from our end fine for those calls. It was all working ok until recently even though there were occational call drop issues. Those who are using VOIP in your place do you have all managed switches or a mixture of few unmanaged 4/8 port little switches? How a mixture of manage and unmanaged switch connection should behave on the network? To my understanding if we move to all managed switch the over all network performance would improve but not 100% convince that it would resolve the current call quality issue to external call. Please share your experience. Thanks Milon
