Reported to Impero on Friday that we are still having issues with the shutdown function in Impero 5.3.25. They've said it's a bug and it will be fixed in the next release (I've lost count of the number of times we've been told this when there has been an issue in Impero). I can't remember a time now where we didn't have an issue with Impero, it's driving us mad!

Great work! Well done!! I'm really struggling with my weight loss, my weight is back up to 16 stone 4lb's (having got as light as 14 stone 10lb's) and I'm just really finding it hard to get myself back on track with it all. Daft thing is that I'm the fittest I've ever been (having trained and completed a half marathon 7 weeks ago), I just can't get my head around my food intake :-(

Yes yes I know, another thread about the Windows 10 Start menu, I have read through many threads on this and the specific things I'm trying to achieve haven't been mentioned, so here goes. 1) I want to remove a few bits from the start menu for students, specifically "Settings" and "Power", they can't get access to either of these things, however, I would really like to remove them from view. 2) Within the "All Apps" section of the start menu, I only want it to display the layout as configured within our mandatory profile. I don't want students to be able to see "Contact Support", "Calendar", "Search", "Settings", "Store" etc. Any suggestions?

No not with SCCM, I'm now looking at rebuilding our Windows 10 image and recapturing it having manually done the language pack install :-(

I won't tell you what I've spent on mine so far.....

We also have had contact with Impero support :-) Version 5.3 installed itself on Friday morning, causing us problems with updating clients, clients appearing in the server console, violations and keywords, scheduled shutdowns...but we have managed to speak to Impero support and are now working through these issues.

Still playing badly in competitions.....gross 97 at the weekend, net 77, handicap still creeping up now at 20.1. so frustrating as I know I can play some really good golf, I had consecutive Par's at 7, 8 & 9! Putting was a bit better than it has been in previous weeks, but I'm sick of playing second shots from bad positions because I can't get my driver/5 wood to go straight off the tee! We did have an interesting situation though as we were finishing off the 13....we had torrential rain! From the greens having no water on them, by the time we had finished they had pools of standing water on them. The amount of rain that came down in a short space of time was incredible! Hooter was sounded and play was suspended! After a bit the rain stopped and within half an hour the greens had drained completely (pretty impressive), so those that wanted to went back out and finished off their rounds :-) Never had play suspended before, I'm just glad we were in the best place for it to be suspended, as the tee for the 14th is the closest to the clubhouse :-)

Great Manchester Run yesterday, went really well :-) Was hoping for under 55 minutes and finished it in 54.51 :-) Great conditions for it, but wow was it tough! Feel like I really pushed myself to get this time. It's not a cheap event to enter (£38), but I do like it as an event, it has a great atmosphere and the crowds are amazing. Entries have opened for next year, so I think I'll be signing up again soon :-)

Whatever works for you :-) That's seriously impressive though to be able to get back to that standard having switched hands....I can barely hold the club left handed let alone swing the thing.

Went to the range last night....truly awful, shanking the ball all over the place for no obvious reason! First 20 balls were really positive, good strike, good ball flight and decent distance (for me anyway), then just fell apart. I can only think it's down to loss of concentration. Managed to get a pass to play tonight after work though, hopefully I can get these issues resolved by the start of the comp tomorrow!

What @phughes said :-) Make sure you go somewhere where they aren't just going to try and sell you whatever gives them the most commission, get properly custom fit as well. I'm playing off 20 and have the Ping G25 irons and really like them, bought them when I was off 24.

Single figures is simply a dream for me.... :-( Competition this Saturday though, hoping to at least make buffer....sick of these 0.1 handicap increases!

I have similar problems....I always manage to have one hole (no matter how well I've been playing) that ruins the score card.....I can easily put a 10/12 on my card without any real explanation or even losing a ball!

Ok, time to be more active on the Edugeek golf thread :-) Played well last night (albeit the 4 holes I played), Par putt on the first, birdie putt on the second, birdie putt on the third, par putt on the fourth...just desperately need to sort my putting out as I ended up bogeying all 4 holes! But at least the rest of my game is looking ok.

Just as an additional to recommendation from @Achandler take a look at the ActionTec ScreenBeam devices. That's what we're currently working with (the pro version comes with a HDMI -VGA adapter that works with older projectors that don't have HDMI on them). They are more expensive than the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter, but in our testing we found the ScreenBeam to work better than the Microsoft equivalent. Unfortunately you do have similar issues though in that you will need a power supply near to it though.

Last bigger run before the manchester 10k this Sunday, managed to get to 8.1km at an average pace of 5 minutes 36 per km (this is always slightly skewed by the fact that I do a walk for approx the first 500m of the distance), still no knee pain :-) Don't think I've got a sub 50 minute 10k in me sadly, but will at least complete the distance. Hoping for about 55 minutes. Thinking back, I think the half marathon took more out of me than I originally thought, I probably should have not run for a couple of weeks after it to allow me to recover properly (rather than the 4 days that I did take off).

I don't think you're being tight at all, we have ours set to 1Gb with the exception of a few who have had mailbox size increases. Biggest we have though is still only about 2Gb. We tend to encourage staff to do housekeeping on their mailboxes rather than just giving them more space. Eventually though we'll be moving over to Office 365 and (as has been said) it won't be an issue :-)

Unfortunately I have had similar experiences as this with SoftCat in the past. In terms of who I go to for quotes for PC's/Servers/Projectors/Switches, In the past we have used Ergo to do our Server virtualisation project and they also did our Switch project last summer (supply and configuration). Alongside this I always speak to Mark @Haptic , Colin @VeryPC_Colin_M , and also speak to Stone and Viglen.

Another one here for the Casio Core, bought a number of the first release (XJ-V1) and were really impressed. They have recently released the V10X with 3300 lumens and better zoom on it, we'll be looking at these in the next round of projector replacements. Speak to @VeryPC_Colin_M as he has been by far the cheapest when sourcing the casio core projectors.
