  1. Morning all, We've recently moved to SCCM for imaging our PC's in school. All existing PC's are absolutely fine, however I've got about 10 brand new Viglen PC's which I'm having issues with. I pxe boot the PC and it gets into SCCM. I select our Windows 7 task sequence and the process begins. Within a few seconds at the "Copying Windows Preinstallation Environment" stage, the process halts with the attached error. I have had one of the new Viglens image, but can't work out what I did to get it to do so! I don't believe it is a driver issue as the drivers for the PC have been added to SCCM. I'm sure there must be a setting in the BIOS that I have to change (I have already set it so that it uses legacy devices rather than UEFI as I think that is part of the issue). Anyone able to help? Thanks in advance Iain
  2. So....Half Marathon Training run 22 yesterday. Great day for it, warm, sunny little to no wind. I ran the route I wanted to run, ran the whole thing and my Strava App told me that I had run 21.2km....a full half marathon and in only 1 hour 58 minutes!! Unfortunately, I had felt from about 11km that the km milestones were coming around a bit too quickly. So me and my wife went out and drove the route....sadly it would seem I only did 19.6km :-( Into the taper now on the plan, 3 weeks to go until the actual half marathon on the 3rd April...just 8 training runs to go! Well done on starting up again! :-) I stuck rigidly to the plan and did the 3 runs each week. I wouldn't recommend pushing it too much as you do need to give yourself rest days otherwise you may cause yourself injuries.
  3. Nice easy 10k last night, time of about 56 minutes 30 seconds. Now done 21 training runs as part of my half marathon prep! Sunday is the biggest run I do as part of my training at 21km! I think it's more than I need to do as a training run (it is practically full half marathon distance), but the plan is telling me to do it, so I'll do it! Then I'm into a 3 week taper in the build up to the half marathon run itself!
  4. Reasonable length slow (but sociable) recovery run last night....8.4km in around 54 minutes. Hurt a lot! Think I'm still recovering from the weekend. This is the start of my longest week of training where I should hit 40km total distance covered.
  5. Another run last night....no sub 50 minute heroics but a nice comfortable 58 minute 10km :-)
  6. We've had the same problem, we've received 34 of our 100 so far with no definite date as to when we might receive the rest.
  7. Quick jog out last night with a friend, nice sociable 6.4km plod as a recovery run from Sundays exertions. Just 4 weeks to go now till the half marathon, this week isn't too bad on the plan.....but next week is the biggest week with the Sunday run supposed to be 20km!
  8. We're awaiting delivery of 100 of the Microsoft Surface 3's which we are providing to our teaching staff. Just working through the deployment of them now. As @bclarke said, we are moving down the Office 365 and OneNote route and will be pushing staff to use this extensively once the devices are deployed (we've had tablet academy in doing training with us as well on this).
  9. Well....the Manchester Winter 10km yesterday went pretty well.... I had an original target time (at the beginning of the year) of 57:30...last week I revised this down to 55 minutes. Finishing time..............51:56!! A bit quicker than I expected to say the least!! :-) Very very happy....may have to look at a sub 50 minute 10km now for the Manchester 10km in May :-)
  10. Seriously struggling to get out at the moment....got out last night though for a very quick 5km.....got my best time down to 26 minutes 22 seconds....I quite purposely only done a little bit of running this week though to try to ensure I am well rested for the Manchester Winter 10km this weekend. Fingers crossed for sub 55 minutes! :-)
  11. did another 8km last night (still using the half marathon plan I've been using since the beginning of the year), really pushed myself and managed to do the 8km in about 43 minutes, set a couple of new records (according to strava) as well including knocking my best 5km time down to 26:48 :-). Really pleased with the run, gives me definite hope of being able to get under 55 minutes in the race next week :-)
  12. I've just seen this as well! :-) Seriously struggling with running motivation at the moment :-( Managed a swift 8km last night (did 5km in 27:03 which is rapid for me) and did 10km last Friday night in a decent time....but just feel very lethargic at the moment. Thankfully it's a relatively easy week this week. First proper race a week on Sunday...the Manchester Winter 10km....hoping to really push that and get under 55 minutes!
  13. I like the idea of an After Eight Mint pancake :-) Might try that next time. We had all sorts of combinations....lemon & Sugar, chocolate spread with strawberries and cream, ice cream (with lemon & Sugar), chocolate spread & banana....I love pancake day :-)
  14. I'd probably agree and say I wouldn't start looking at it until September. We're a Smoothwall school (although that is partly due to an agreement with our LA where they pay the licensing costs for us) and are very happy with the product. We were formerly a Bloxx school but haven't regretted moving away.
  15. Well....biggest run on the plan yesterday 17km required......absolutely smashed it :-) 17.7km total distance covered in around 1 hour 40. Very very pleased to have hit the distance and delighted that the time wasn't dreadful (still on for under 6 minute Km's) :-) I genuinely believe that I would have finished the half marathon yesterday and would have had an outside chance of getting in under 2 hours.
  16. I used to ref many years ago (did my badge when I was about 15 and did it for about 4 years). Gave it up as it wasn't worth the hassle for £6 a game (plus it was pretty intimidating as a 16 year old getting people hurling abuse at you).
  17. I spent a lot of hours playing Dave Mirra Freestyle whilst at University....very sad :-(
  18. Got out for my next HM training run last night. A nice 10.3km run with three much quick KM's at the end (down to under 5 mins 20 seconds per km). Overall decent pace, sadly it was at rush hour so I had a few pauses for trying to cross roads which made a bit of a mess of my overall time. Think I need to re-configure Strava to pause when I stop moving.
  19. I like a nice simple solution :-) Fingers crossed it works for you. Have you looked at compression socks as well? something a bit tighter that doesn't rub as much?
  20. Good work :-) I find it definitely helps to have something to work towards, gives me purpose to my training. Bleeding toes do not sound good though!!
  21. Thanks for that, I was looking at using Haribo (I love their golden bears so so much)....I've bought some of the SiS energy gels to give them a whirl as well. Just feel like I need something when I'm doing the much longer runs.
  22. Standard Tuesday night run last night....7.1km run, decent pace, set new records (according to Strava) on a couple of sections and broke the 5 minute for 1Km as wel, which was pretty pleasing :-) @jdoyle do you use energy gels at all? I'm toying with the idea of experimenting and don't really know what to do
  23. Thank you for that, going to give it a try this morning :-)
  24. If anyone is looking for these, the Microsoft Store had them at £25 last week.
  25. This was a good thread to find :-) We've just ordered 100 of the Microsoft Surface 3's (thank goodness we didn't put the order in prior to Microsoft dropping 30% off the retail price!!). We've gone with the MendIT extended warranty and accidental damage cover which wasn't too bad I didn't think, certainly not half the cost of the device. I would be interested in hearing people's experience though of MendIT and what service is like? Depending on delivery times, these will be distributed to teaching staff on February 22nd. We're working with Tablet Academy to provide training to staff on Windows 10, One Note and Office 365. Longer term, we're looking at buying a couple of sets of Surfaces prior to looking at a 1:1 deployment further down the line. We're trying to get the Surface's to image using SCCM but are having difficulties with it, really struggling to get devices to image using the same Microsoft USB Network Adapter. @10101010 I'd be interested in talking about how you've done it? Going back to the original post....we've purchased the UAG Folio Case, not overly attractive (although it is growing on me) but does seem rugged. Buy UAG Surface Folio Case - Microsoft Store United Kingdom Online Store Ignore the price, we paid £25 for them (although we did buy 100).
