I forgot to come back on the advice with my driver!! Anyway....first things first.....end of the season got much better. Had a couple of lessons and the last couple of months have been really really promising. Striking the ball much better and although I haven't yet managed to get my driver to go straight, it is much more in control. My problem with the driver is that I'm leaving the club face open with an out to in swing and I'm simply cutting across the ball which generates the slice. I am working hard on keeping the club behind me as I come into the swing and keeping the club square on impact. One thing I've developed, is that I'm reducing the length of my swing as well, concentrating on keeping my wrists in the right position rather than letting the club go to far and my swing collapsing at the top. Anyway, back to actual scores.......shot my best ever competition score (gross 88 for a nett 68 on a Par 69 course - Scorecard below) which brought the handicap down a bit...I also had a nett 71 which was pretty good...in buffer at least.....however, look at scorecard 2....I cannot explain what happened on the 9th!! I didn't even lose a ball!! It still got me a handicap cut though and I've finished the season on 19.3 down from 21 (I think) at the beginning of the season. Planning on playing through the winter, got a winter pairs competition starting this sunday, so that will keep me going through the winter as we have to play in 7 out of 12 events. Can't wait for next season to start at this point!!
  2. Afternoon all, I'm currently working with about 20 tablet devices all running Windows 10 Edu 1607 and classic shell and I'm struggling with student desktops. We currently use mandatory profiles for our staff and students. If I logon to one of these devices as a member of staff, they pick up the correct desktop icons. However, if I logon as a student, their desktop is blank. As an additional, neither staff or students pick up the correct start menu....but one thing at a time :-) Anyone got any suggestions as what to look at as I'm a bit stuck :-( Thanks in advance Iain
  3. Sorted it :-) I have two policies that do printer installs and I had updated the path to the printer on one and not the other. Still doesn't explain why one surface was randomly working though :-S
  4. ok...so I've tried every single driver that is available for this photocopier....and it is no different. What I can't get my head round is why it works for one surface and not the others!
  5. Morning all, We've set all our printers to deploy via GPP and item level targeting over the summer. In the last few days, we have installed a new photocopier in one of the departments. The policy has been updated to reflect the new photocopier and its IP address. The staff in that department have Microsoft Surfaces and of the 6 devices, 1 of them has picked up the new photocopier and can print to it. The other 5 will not pick up the photocopier. I can manually connect to it, I can ping the IP address, it just won't deploy via GPP. Any suggestions?
  6. I used this as my starting point https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/office/Trouble-Ticket-and-bab2b93b I've then customised it, stripped out the bits we don't want, customised forms etc...see screenshots End users won't get the full form, they will get a cutdown version with just the fields they need to enter on it, they will also get a slightly reduced home page (they won't get "Jobs assigned to me" for example). Like I said, it's mostly done, just need to do some testing of workflows, to test that people get sent emails when jobs are updated/assigned/completed etc. Hope it's of use to you
  7. We currently work in a similar way, using outlook tasks. But I have been working on a Sharepoint solution which is virtually done it just needs some time for testing and tweaking....but I've been trying for about 6 months to find that time :-(
  8. I was also incredibly self conscious when I started running. I was around 20 stone when I picked it up and was worried people would laugh at me, point at me, beep their horns. I've only ever found people to be really supportive, other runners say hello and wave and getting out there and running has done wonders for my confidence.
  9. Hamstring stopped me running in the Stockport 10k yesterday :-( definitely better than it was, but still not right (did a light jog down the road and back and it still hurts a bit)....just going to continue with the rest I think and give it a bit of a workout each week with a round of golf :-)
  10. Gutted....it must have gone up in price then as we paid about £2500 for a week there in school holidays :-( Edit: Just looked at the pricing!!! Wow!!!!
  11. We were in exactly the same position as you, we decided to do the all inclusive just so we didn't have to say no to all the requests for ice cream/drink etc etc. We took our eldest two when they were 7 & 10 I think and they had a great time with the various kids clubs and things, which gave me and the wife some time without them as well :-) we went here Viva Ca'n Picafort | First Choice Accommodation was nice, there was evening entertainment (which my Brother was doing when we went which was part of the reason for choosing it), food was mainly buffet which meant the kids could basically have what they wanted although I think there was a pizza place as well by the pool that did takeaway pizza stuff.
  12. We already put our school email addresses for staff in sims, I don't know why we just do. We have also just implemented ruler connect and our staff absolutely love having their timetables in Outlook. When we did some testing we practically had people banging on our door wanting to know when they would be migrated over so theirs would be available!
  13. 4 miles is better than nothing :-) Hamstring isn't too bad (I don't think), it's not stopping me playing golf and walking around I just don't want to stretch it too much by playing football/running. It's been tight when I run for months, even with significant amounts of stretching before and after runs, so I'm hoping that now it's pulled a bit it might sort out all the problems I've been having with it.
  14. Sorry to hear you're still struggling @jdoyle fingers crossed you're now on the mend and you'll be back running soon. Looks like my planned 10k for this Sunday is off due to injury :-( pulled my left hamstring playing football last Thursday, and it's still not right :-( Plus now my left hip is sore as well :-( Going to have the week off running and see how it is by Sunday, but it's not looking promising.
  15. Wigan 10k last Sunday, wasn't really expecting much in terms of fast times (probably working on about 58 minutes)....ended up doing it in 55:36 :-) Really really pleased with the time, which is my second fastest proper race 10k time and only 40 seconds outside my PB. Pushed it really hard from the word go, was absolutely knackered at the end, but so so pleased with the time :-) Time to push on with the training ready for the Stockport 10k a week on Sunday :-) nice recovery 5k tonight I think.
  16. We also had Pachebel's Canon as the entrance music. We then had "Bring me to life" by Evanescence and then "All you need is love" by the Beatles played as our exit music (all you need is love was as a result of the pianist not being happy to learn a new piece of music :-s)
  17. Been a while since I put an update on here :-) Done a decent amount of running the last few weeks, 5 runs in total 2 x 5k, 1 x 6k and 1 x 7k then my final bigger run on Monday of 9k in preparation for the Wigan 10k this Sunday. I'll get round the 10k ok but won't be breaking any records I don't think....more about building up to the Stockport 10k in 2 weeks time
  18. Couple of nice runs this week, 6.3km on Wednesday then after getting my dates mixed up did a nice quick 5km last night :-) Hopefully get out on Sunday for a slightly longer run, probably aim for 7km I would think
  19. Another tough and sweaty 5km last night, but again pleased I got out and did a run :-)
  20. Well done her :-) My wife has just restarted Couch25k, did week 1 run 1 last night and seemed pleased with how she had got on
  21. Sorry to hear that @jdoyle hope you're off the injured list soon! Went out for my first run in a while last night....a tough and sweaty 5km! 4 weeks on Sunday till the Wigan 10k, and now signed up for the Stockport 10k in 6 weeks as well :-) Running enthusiasm well and truly back!!
  22. Gutted to hear this, hope you're off the injured list soon!! I went out last night for my first run in a while, tough hot and sweaty 5km. Just 4 and a bit weeks till the Wigan 10k!!
  23. Need to get myself back on track with my running so I've signed up to the Wigan 10k. Did the race last year and set a new PB at the time, nice course, great atmosphere so looking forward to running it again :-) 5 weeks of training ahead :-)
  24. £24bn!! Talk about paying an arm and a leg.....
  25. Good effort if you do that :-) I quite often try cycling during the summer but give up after about 2 weeks
