Managed a couple more training runs since my last post. 8km on Friday night at a faster pace (5.56 per km) and then again last night for my longer run (as Sunday became a bit of a washout!) for 13km at a pace of 6.00 per km :-)

We don't have a written policy as such, however, we do tell staff that any Social Media accounts must be created by the school (ie IT Support). If they have been set up by individuals then they are expected to provide us with the login details for the account (this is mostly a safeguarding thing though). If the account is created by us, then we add it to the list of "official" social media accounts which we publish on the school website. For Twitter accounts, we then ensure that the main school account follows it and retweets/favourites things that they post. If the account is not created by us, then we don't do any of these.

Morning all, I'm having a bit of a play with PowerApps to see if I can build an App for our, soon to be launched, Sharepoint based helpdesk. The app looks pretty good in PowerApps when saving the file locally to my PC, however, when I try to share the App so I can do some further testing I get the error "There was a problem saving to PowerApps". Anyone else having a play with PowerApps and having/had the same problem? Thanks in advance Iain

Saw the second Independence Day film last night (I can't even be bothered remember its proper name)....dreadful

Got out last night as planned...just the 5km on the plan last night. Thought I'd pushed the pace but found it still to be about the same as it was in previous runs. Still glad to get out :-)

Happy New Year fellow runners :-) Managed to get a decent amount of runing in the week between christmas and New Years day (total of 34km over 3 runs of 2 x 10km and 1 x 14km) but then came down with what has turned into a lingering cold :-( so only managed 5km last week as I feel totally drained :-( Hoping to get out and back onto the plan tomorrow night though

Students, Staff (including us) in till tomorrow :-( Students going at 12.30 though so hopefully we won't be far behind...then off till January 9th :-)

Half Marathon training again last night, got out early doors for a fairly quick 5.7km, pushed myself pretty hard and had a couple of KM's under 5:30 which was good to see, been a while since I last saw that :-)

First long run of half marathon training yesterday......fairly slow 12km (just short of 8 miles) at an average pace of 6:16km Good to get out and do the longer distance, first time in about 6 months I've run that sort of distance. Also was the first time that I've done 3 runs in a week for a while :-)

That's a phenomenal effort to lose that much weight, well done :-) I need a bit of that motivation myself, would like another couple of stone off (down from 21 stone 10 to about 16 stone 2, but I did get down to 14 stone 10)!

Got out for another 8km last night, felt much fitter than last week (no idea if I am or not) and found I could run it at a better pace than last weeks 8km run...last night was at 6:18 per km Edit : Just checked my pacing for last weeks 8km and that was 6:20...so last night was better but it was marginal

We had the same request put in by our head of art as well....we were the same in that we didn't feel we should be opening it up just at the request of the Head of Art, so passed it up to SLT. They told us to open it for the Art groups so we did :-)

Nice :-) I'm so jealous, not been skiing in about 5 years :-(

Out with Poynton Runners again last night, quickest 5km run that I've done with them at 29 minutes 15 seconds (and on a hillier route than normal), average pace of 5:51 per Km. Small group in the 5km runners tonight (only 4 of us) and somehow I was the first to finish :-) I know it's not a race, but was still quite pleased with myself :-)

Got out on Friday after work for a drizzly 8km. Nice steady pace, but glad to get out and do something a little bit longer. First real week of half marathon training this week with runs of 5k, 8k and 12k planned

No I think you're right, I think that by providing additional functionality to the school we can save some money by not having to have banners etc produced externally. But the questions/issues you raise are very valid and they are things that would have to be answered before we began to offer out services externally.

First training run on Tuesday - 5.5km in 34:14 (but I do walk the first .5 km as a warm up) - AVG pace of 6:12 /km

Morning all, We are looking to revamp our resources/reprographics/print room at the end of our lease next summer. One of the things we are keen to do is to be able to offer out the facilities to the local community and run it as a bit of a business. Does anyone else do anything similar? Would anyone mind letting me know what they offer to people in terms of what they produce (do you produce glossy prospectus', vinyl banners, flyers etc for example)? What devices do you have? Thanks in advance Iain

Has it ever been about personality though?
