I can restrict the .dict file but it doesn't stop the right click context menu, restricting the Keyoti.RapidSpell.NET4.TXSupportv27.dll which I assume is that menu break the whole program. Does it always look to load ExamWritePad.exe.config, how would I restrict multiply .config files if I can only use one name?? Thanks for all your suggestions!

Is there a way of launching the application with different configs specified say as a parameter in the shortcut. What Im trying to achieve is, some users are entitled to have spell checker some are not, however everyone runs the application from the same share and thus share the same config. Other than making a second copy of the directory with a different config for each wondered if there was a way of specifying the config file on lunch or disabling spelling for groups of users. @free780 Which licence did you apply to the device? The Microsoft documentation isn't very clear " assign the appropriate licenses to that group." https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployoffice/device-based-licensing My re seller advised it was the AADPEDUP1OpenStuUseBnft ShrdSvr licence which is only showing AADP EDU P1 Open StuUseBnft in my volume licencing Portal under Azure Active Directory which I have applied to our tenant. Having just started our 'journey' with rolling out O365 desktop applications unfortunately the short answer is NO they will ALL need accounts (users and computers) in Office 365 and the correct licences available/applied. Perhaps have a look at this this thread for some interesting reading regarding licencing the applications http://www.edugeek.net/forums/office-software/194192-office-365-click-run-device-based-activation.html Do you have access to Office 2019 in some way, as this might be a better fit for you for the time being if you don't want to spend the time setting up Azure AD Sync just for licensing Office would be a bit overkill.

Yes its very confusing and to confirm the user has to be assigned the correct licence as it will have a fit if it can't sign in as the user, which for us is done automatically. I guess this is why Office 2019 still exists, I'm assuming (will have to test) if it can get online when a new users opens Office for the first time things will break and report unlicensed product so worth thinking about.

OK my fault earlier, I tested it using an account without the ProPlus licence appears to be licensing correctly now.. fingers cross.. testing..testing..testing

I "thought" I had it working as I FINALLY got my Office 365 A1 Plus for students licence added, OPPTRansition is reporting it is licencing the device, I can see the machines in O365 Users section and they have the hopefully correct Licenses applied but when logged in as a test non-o365 user it fails! I'm getting the feeling I might be suffering with the same issue as you @mitchell1981 !

How are people performing there device activation, I've followed a guide using OPPTransition.exe via SCCM.

Office 365 ProPlus for Education (device)

My re seller is saying he can only see "O365ProPlusOpenStudents ShrdSvr ALNG SubsVL OLV NL 12Mth Acdmc Stdnt STUUseBnft" as a licence, I don't think this is the correct one. Does anyone have the 'exact' name of the licence I need from my re seller as are lost. I keep telling them its Office 365 Education Plus for Students but they don't appear to be able to find it....

@free780 Which channel did you get the licences, through Office Support? Currently speaking with Microsoft Billing Support but is so slow all I get is our engineers are working on it...

I've been waiting about 4+ weeks for the correct device licences to be applied to our tenant via O365 support, I do hope its going to work otherwise falling back to Office 2019 deployment...
