I would second that, it's a very important piece of your infrastructure and when it goes wrong, from experience, it can get very messy quickly so having support from your hardware vendor is critical. We use Dell hardware who will help you spec out kit to implementation if you wish and everywhere between.

I don't expect it for free if we are comparing say a 'vanilla' ISP to your offering, I guess it's hard to put a price on it to be fair, that would depends on many factors. As people point out the likelihood of this happening is low and could be overcome with a backup connection until the issue has passed. But I have seen it happen to local schools and even with the backup connection the struggles they had I don't want here. I've had a price from yourselves for a connection+backup and access to your hosted firewall service, as I have a UTM on-prem your hosted firewall service is probably overkill in feature set for my needs so a product somewhere in the middle to try an immigrant attacks would be preferable. I agree UTM's are the way to go and we have that on-site already, it was interesting when speaking to Virgin Media directly, they didn't quote for DDOS protection as according to the account manager its a £100k+ product, I kid you not.

I did get a comparison quote from yourselves, I am considering. Would there be a way of leveraging the cloud firewall protection on our mobile clients when using not using our local connection?

What are peoples thoughts of moving there firewalls or part of into the "cloud", I was more thinking about attack mitigation ie. DDOS attacks etc, the UTM will start blocking this but your local connection will probably be saturated by then so of little use. (Have seen this happen at a local school so it does happen.

What would peoples recommendation for backup connection be, I assume you would definitely get a connection from an alternative ISP in the event of a high level outage with your primary one or from your ISP with maybe VRRP? Are there any options in SW @tom_newton for basic gateway failover instead of LLB? (not a concern if the outbound traffic IP changes) Inbound traffic would need to be rerouted if using alternative ISP (different public IPs) but again there are many solutions for this.

Just started using it here, hoping to cut the SMS bill compared to InTouch come "snow days" as the option to App Alert first then fall back to SMS in a winner, we are pushing hard to make sure people have the app installed! Emailing is nice that the messages come from you rather than via a third party, much more professional looking, the same applies for SMS as well. Very please thus far! Note, we are sending via O365 which appears to have a 10,000 recipients per day limit on our plan level.
