No you've not, this tunnel was simply a project to join the two biggest cities on each side of the map. I did once have multiple tunnels with signals on them but for some reason trains tend not to wait at signals at the end of tunnels, they turn around and mess about, whereas on normal tracks these problems don't exist.

I make undergound rails when I use to play it, then the cities coudl expenda better and the countryside wasn't ruined by my tracks, the most expensive tunnel I was was about 100million! You didn't seen the train for about a minute, it was a huge express traing that did two stops, 60 carriages long!

I would but 2/ 3 drives as sonofsanta mentioned. You can then setup a 2nd RAID Array (assuming your server RAID controller supports this, most should), then mount this volume in your server and end up with another drive such as E:. Then move some of your files (copy them), remembering to keep permissions the same (use xcopy or robocopy), unshare the old version and share the copied version usign the same name. Then as long as it all works and permissions are correct then you can delete the older copy of it, freeing up psace on the old drive, if that makes sense. I personally woudl move a folder such as a shared area where permissions aren't so complicated should something go wrong.

That woudl depend entirely on how the server is setup, assuming it is RAIDED then you will need increase the RAID size

This is the second release ina row that has been pulled. Autumn 2011 was pulled to due to some issues, now Spring 2012. Can't wait till Summer 2012! I wonder why so many people refuse to upgrade SIMS until they absolutely have to.

There was a school near here who had to wait 2 months extra to have there fibre put in, for a great reason... There was a car parked over the manhole everytime the BT engineers went to install the fibre and they weren't allowed to ask the owner to move it so they just had to keep going back till it wasn't there and send the owner a letter (though this took longer to sort out then the luck of it not being there one day). BT are geniuses.

We had it in an image but im sure a scripted .exe would work fine to. I apologise as I should have expanded on my comment on Stencyl to: The big problems with Stencyl are that it wants to use the local users profile area to save things in. We use Mandatory profiles here and old profiles are removed at the end of the day, which meant all the work would be deleted. Setting the workspace variable (for each user) was also extremely difficult. We trialled it with some students would also found it difficult to use.

Use Contruct2 its much better for a network and is more intuitive in my opinion. Stencyl is a nightmare to run on a network.

How intriguing, CC3 is stopping the Java App working. Maybe this is to do with where the App is trying to run from, CC3 might be using some form of software restriction to stop programs being run from "unsafe" locations such as the users area, which is where Unifi likes to install itself. Just an idea though. What do the logs show? Also just run it on a member server as these shouldnt be locked down to much.

Uninstall it and start again, don't make it a service till it works. I have seen it working on Windows XP Pro and it installed find straight away. Once you have reinstalled it and it is started then firstly make sure it is going to the right IP address and port, it should go to https://:8443 Make sure that your local ip is an exception to if your using a proxy. Check the logs, there should be two, a server one and a mongod one.

I only mentioend both versions because the older controller ran on 32bit but the new one runs on 64bit or 32bit. So if you were ona 64bit computer and installed the older version then you would need to install both versions. Ok so you install the controller, and then the little "disc" icon appears on the desktop, you run this and the controller inialises, does it get to the point where it has "started"?

I assume you are using a Mac. If not, install both 32bit and 64bit Java depending on your server/ desktop. Install both on a 64bit server/ desktop

Oaktech Firslty I recommend dowloading the latest version from the website Make sure you have java installed to. This isn't a webserver as such just a web interface on a Java app.

If you have a an SSID set as a Guest one then then clients are "isolated" they cannot ping each other etc. Access to your network could be restricted or not depending on your setup, personally it is blocked here but although the "Guest" fucntion on Unifi shoudl stop it and isolate them, you probably have to bear in midn that a Guest wifi is usally on a seperate VLAN. So the guests will only access what is on that VLAN unless you start bridging it etc. We have access to our VLE and Exchange Server bridged, as it is pointless to go out and in from the Guest wifi to access internal resources. Our Guest wifi also only has 2 ports open, 80 and 443.

Has it performed to out level fo satisfaction? Yes, it has done everything we have required of it. Pros: Cost Ease of setup Reduced ongoing costs (in theory) No expensive hardware to pay a warranty on Easy for self install Cons Current model needs a PoE adapter to use a standard PoE switch (this should be resolved in pro version) Only 100meg NICs (Solved in pro version) Only using 1 frequency (solved in Pro version) It doesn't do "beam bending" etc (but we don't need it to) For a school it does everything that is needed, Guest Wifi, Wifi codes for visiters if wanted etc. I have 36 access points, I can probably upgrade every single one to a Pro one, then still afford to replace them all again for the same cost of any other manufacturers Wifi. There are cases of people using 1000s of clients on Unifi with no problems.

The connection itself has been stable, only 1 short problem (lasted 2 hours). We have 100mb on 100mb

Stockport LA have Moodle for allt here primaries I believe.

We have Global AXs, level fo service, well when I have needed to contact them it has been excellent. I have only contacted them before the installation and once with a problem though, no problems means no contact so its hard to judge there service.

I'll address the concerns before m25man does. Ubiquiti is not an all singing all dancing wifi solution, as doesn't offer as much as other manufacturers but then half the stuff the others offer you don't end up using so why pay for them. There is a new Wifi point coming our soon, a Pro version of the current Unifi. Which vastly improves the current offering, including gigabit uplinks etc. I use Ubiquiti across the school, and have done for about 12 months with no problems, for a school it is perfectly good, maybe for some corperate offices of Microsoft it won't be godo enough but we aren't a corperate user we are a school, I currently have 300+ devices on my wifi and I can monitor them, see there usesage, block them if necessary. I can login 15 laptops happily in about 1 minute, it is everything you need in a wifi system for a school, there are wireless solutions companies even offering this now to schools instead of the "big" boys because it is usually about 1/4 of the price!

There are a fair few of us that do. M25man has a few places with it setup, I have it setup in my school as well.

SimpleSi you can order them from the likes of Insight, but they take about 12 weeks to get hold of them. It would mean you could use a normal supplier and jsut have a back order though which may be better on paper for the school.

There was a version of android from Vodafone that use to make the HTC Sensations overheat horribly, it was related to the screen power not cutting off when the screen was "off".

We use Ubiquiti and are happy to have visiters.

Although this doesn't actually affect me, budgeting is done in advance. Leased lines can take 60-120 days to get in place depending on your location and any extra work that needs to be completed, so these lines would need to be ordered before the summer holidays to get them ready for September, as noone can order in September to be ready in October. Coming from a school that left the LA, along with 5 or 6 others all at once, I would suggest that unless the LA pull there finger out (ours wasn't able to) then the same will happen to EMBC as well, which may be a good or bad thing only time would tell. When we left the LA, it was only the primary schools I felt sorry for, we were given figures for what the costs were for everyone, as a secondary we questioned it priced alternatives etc. Primaries although given the same choice do nto have the same expertise available or the time and manpower to do the same, I have two primaries who have a shared fence with my school, they pay nearly 4k each to get 10MB from the local LA, plus filtering on top and I pay 8.5k to get 100MB. We didn't even have time to speak about jumping onto our connection (I could throw fibre through the window of the school its that close) and helping them out as the LA wanted them commited early. EMBC need to get the situation sorted to give schools the best deal, time to choose others if they aren't the best deal. If the problem is that EMBC suppliers are useless then get new suppliers... I feel like these contracts seem to shock LAs, almost like they came out of nowhere!
