  1. Get 2920s atleast in your core.
  2. The host will probably be set to use one port for itself, then to use the 3 other ports for the VMs. Well that is how I woudl use it.
  3. We have been waiting to go live for over 2 years now I think. Honestly I think it will never happen, noonne ever updates you as to what is happening either, I wouldn't bother trying to go live by choice now.
  4. You could get a WOL sniffer on one of the machines that comes back on, then leave it on and see if it received a magic packet at about the same time all the others do. I assume it is consistantly the same machines that do it.
  5. Interesting, so the original aquittal was overturned last year and it was a re-trial (possible a re-appeal). Either way so far she is guilty once, then aquiited (illegally, hence it got quashed) then guilty again. Currenlty she stands as guilty twice (aquited nil), until her next appeal of course. In relaity the US will never return her because extradiction agreements with the US aren't worth the paper they are written on, totally one way. So if she is guilty, she will never get punished.
  6. She was found guilty (dubious or not) She appealed and won, this was an even bigger farce of a trial, and she won. A judge decided the original appeal was definitely a farce and we are back to square one. I fail to see where double jepoardy comes into plan as it is her appeal that is the issue, not the original conviction. So she has to appeal again, and then if she loses that we are back to a trial, then an appeal. The middle two trials becoem irrelevant.
  7. Yeah you lose access to everything recorded (that you no longer have access too, i.e BBC1 recording should be fine). Your also apparently barred from taking up sky in your house in your name for a year! But seriosuly cancel Sky, then wait and wait and wait, usually they will ring you and give you an offer you can't refuse. My brother got all Sky TV free for 6 months then 6 months half price on a 12 month contract.
  8. Although his post looks like spam (especially due to the location), I have had a teacher recover a personal SD card by using recoverfab.com. The card was well untruly dead in the water, nothing could see it, it had some very personal memories on it and he was willing to pay the prices they ask. Recoverfab.com sent him a selection of photos then he paid to get them all and was over the moon because he thought he had lost them forever. His card broke while on holiday (2nd to last day) so he had no way of backing them up from his camera.
  9. Are you talking about hosted or not? We host it onsite here and the fingerprint works fine.
  10. Upgrading switches because you can't understand how to VLAN them seems an odd choice. The Netgear switches you are talking about shoudl be perfectly adequate for your edge switches. From expereince they are almost identical to HPs to VLAN (if using the GUI), you create a VLAN, then Tag, Untag or neither the ports on the switch. Pretty simply really.
  11. There was definitely something to about it happening on the news this morning.
  12. OpenArena and turn the blood off. Though it is violent, though you can get Nerf arena for free!
  13. The other problem is your car was left broken down, if you had stayed there and waited for the private tow this probably wouldn't of happened. How long past your alloted time were you? If we are talking 2 hours past your time, then I guess it is about how long is reasonable for a car to be left somewhere. If this was a double yellow lined main road, that caused a huge tailback then you wouldn't be arguing about it. I would appeal (if you have a scrap certificate), send a copy of that off as part of your appeal letter. If you lose the appeal then just pay up.
  14. We have original dual cores (1.2Ghz), which are extremely slow sometimes but the processor is always working away excessively, hence SSDs might not be a solution. Maybe I will buy a couple and test them.
  15. What processors are in these machines you are upgrading? I have an SSD at home, and did look at putting some SSDs in our machines to improve speed but when you look at performance manager etc, the CPU is being smashed to pieces anyway, so I wonder if ours aren't worth an SSD after all.
  16. It has to eb a driver issue at some stage, after soem further reading there are a few people with the same problem. The issue is only on that other thread did there seem to be an actual answer that might be right, ebcause they mentioned all the driver .infs and adding them to the .wim but making sure you had certain ones because some simply didnt work. They mention driver issues again here Hp ProDesk600 G1 - Integrated Intel® I217LM preboot driver | Symantec Connect Community but the link to the "working" drivers doesn't seem to work for me. Dell Latitude E7440 support for Windows PE4 - Petri IT Knowledgebase Forums it is mentioned in post #5 exactly what .inf the guy uses, so you could check you definitely have that oen in your wim and that it wasn't one of the ones that failed to install. You have definitely both added them to the "Drivers" folder for want of a better word and then added it to your capture .wim How many of these desktops do you have?
  17. https://communities.intel.com/thread/43218 Seems a common problem, people seem to have a solution for it.
  18. So the Windows PE still isn't seeing your network card, what make is the actual network card? You could ofcourse just capture local then manually upload after. It is a work around but depends how time crucial this is.
  19. So the IP Config /all still shows no network cards? Or does it show you one without an IP?
  20. Ok, so it fails later on. Quite common actually, I get it with all sorts of drivers not installing. If you download the correct driver for the HP machine's network card, then add it to your WDS server (assuming 2008R2) this is easy, just right-click drivers and add package. Then add it. After that go to Boot Images within the WDS server, then right-click your capture boot image and hit add driver package. Use the search to find the network card driver (I often add all "net") drivers, and let it mount the image and add the driver. Might take about 10-15 minutes, then try again. It is the driver missing from here which is causing the issue probably, even though it PXE booted successfully.
  21. Well the machine first gets an IP when you hit F12, and from what you wrote, I thought you meant it was there when you had the problem. The process should be: Choose network boot Machine gets IP from DHCP Machine gets a response from your WDS server You hit F12 You choose what to boot up (usually a boot or a capture wim) The black loading screen shows with the boot.wim loading at the bottom Then Windows boot wim opens You put in your account details You choose the image Partition the drive Install Windows Get a brew. At won't point does it fail?
  22. If your not getting an IP, then you aren't PXE booting yet, sounds like a DHCP error. I know PXE boot can be funny when machines have had fixed IPs set in Windows, I have no diea why but removing them sometimes fixes it. No driver is loaded by WDS at that point, well not that I know, you can only add drivers to the boot.wim or the install (via driver packages).
  23. The issue isn't a technological one, it is a staff issue. Why not leave the remotes in the classrooms like most places do? Sure you have to replace the occasional remote but surely if you are buying everyone a universal remote you are doing that anyway.
  24. Just 587 on your external firewall
