We have done it, use iis 6 and setup a stndard mail relay, there are loads of guides out there. You need to provide login detaisl for your mail server though, well we did, it wouldn't except anynomous mail.

Honestly, Papercut usually marks down the number of prints that the driver showed, and it always seems to be correct to me. She might have printer 30 copies of a 2 page document, the problem might be that this looked like 2 pages but was a spreadsheet that was across 5 pages because the print area wasn't set right and she cancelled it when she realised then printed it properly. If a user cancelled a job on the printer it doesn't show as cancelled in Papercut, if the job is cancelled out the queue it is fine.

The manufactuer is well known, the company is a reseller. Ubiquiti are the ones that make Unifi that people use, I think they started off doing point to point wifi though.

I love the world we live in, where if one place doesn't spend it they lose it. So schools/ councils buy laods of stuff they might not need just because they have to spend the money. Nothing like someone willing to hold there hand up and say wait a minute we don't need all this money give it to someone else. Not saying you should have to FN-GM, I am just saying in general, places burn money on things. That same money might have been used elsewhere in society, such as an old persons heating... In reality if a school/ council said we don't need that money for that it would probably go back to central government and wasted by them on something else anyway, instead of used to lower a budget deficit, or help someone in need but still, makes you think. Our breakdown is £50 gas and £33 on electricity I believe. We only use gas for central heating and hot water, have electric cooker and hob etc.

2 bed Victorian end of terrace (so huge gabal end). Have 3 rooms downstairs and then 3 upstairs and we pay £83 a month, so similar cost to you. So I reckon you might be paying to much or using to much energy, depending on how you look at it.

They usually give you new routers free, or they use too. Ring them and go through the stupid tests were the person on the phone, tell them all the lights are orange or some rubbish so they diagnose a faulty router quickly and get a new oens ent. Try with an external, if it effects that too then it is likely the chip. If it doesn't then it is likely the screen. Probably some bad soldering the gfx chip if it is the chip.

Larger Tescos store also sell the kits. But basically you need a large plastic spoon, a large bucket, some sanitiser and a siphon. Persoanlly from experience I would buy them seperately probably because then you can but a better siphon that will stop bits going into the bottles. As for the "beers", honestly I would go toa brew shop if one was close and buy a more expensive one. There is also 2 tins (very little extra suger needed) or 1 tin kits that need brewers sugar too normally, although different kits in that respect are well different. 2 tins are usually better though. Bottles are the msot expensive if he hasn't kept loads yet, you need about 40 500ml bottle per brew, caps are cheap but get a decent capper, it makes life so much easier!

Leased line has been very good for us, had it for 3 years now and have 2 hours downtime. Filtering, they now use Netsweeper but we don't buy it. Firewall, it provided by Sonicwall, heard it is good from another school but again we don't buy it. Remote Access, I have no idea what you would be doing here, and I don't know what they would do. We basically have a leased line with our own Smoothwall on site, our own remote access setup etc, so they are very much just a internet pipe for us but I would highly recommend them. Been around there data centre in Manchester though, and the setup is pretty good. I would be inclined to get pricing from 3rd party suppliers for all aspects of your needs both together, and seperately so you can control your choice better and your costs, you can also play they off against each other.

There is 6 schools in Trafford using a Leased line from them, and have done for 3 years. I know one has a website with them too. Which bit of the Internet Services are you looking at?

Make sure your online DC is pointed to by your servers for DNS. Otherwise they won't work on the reboot as they won't see the domain even though it is there.

In FSRM if you quota the folders contained within a folder, say the "staff" folder. then all the members fo staff will be given the quota. They should all appear individually though in the quota itself though, so you can ahrd quota them all then soft quota or give a larger quota to others. That's how i did my students.

Get rid of them? Ask for the current contract you have with the provider, and how long it is for, how much it is costing. Keep a copy of allt he complete dribble they are giving you as answers etc, approach a proper provider with evidence of such rubbish being provided. Get proper provider to confirm this company is indeed spinning the school a lie. Attempt to leave contract due to breach of contract.

I persoanlly use the RF out on the back, basically just a standard aerial cable, then use a sky magic eye so I can control the box. The con is the image isn't as crisp and you cna only watch what the box you are connected to is watching, so if you are fighting over watching laods of channels at once it is of no help. The pro is, it will cost you about £40 to do, some aerial cable and the magic eye.

You can go from 10.6 to Mavericks straight away.

Although @PhilNeal on here will also probably help you as well with getting it sorted, he'll probably need all your ticket details etc so get ready to reply to him

Just searched for distributors of iboss int he UK and they are rather non-existant. 2 exist, 1 has a website was 1992 and the other doesn't have one. One is alsoa PO box only address. Worrying if you want support on a product.
