Please move if posted in the wrong place..... I have a number of Meraki MR18 and MR26 Access points which have been added to our Meraki Dashboard - some never been connected to Meraki cloud! I may (subject to approval) be looking to sell these extra/spares to raise some cash so we can purchase other IT items. Does anyone know if I can resell Meraki APs which are registered to our Dashboard and if so, how do I go about it? Cheers

Just found the issue - I installed a trial version with some enterprise features! The Backup Repo was ticked to use Per VM - unticked and seems happy now.

Just installed Backup Essentials Standard and created backup jobs using the default settings. 1st VM backed up file, other VMs fail with Error: Unable to use per-VM backup file chains due to a product license limitation. Is this telling me I cannot have individual backup jobs per VM? - Do I need to have 1 job for all VMs? Before I raise a support call - anyone any idea what this is or why I am getting this error message? Cheers

Another one for reference is https://www.systemcenterdudes.com/step-by-step-sccm-1511-configuration/ Before spending time on SCCM and the learning curve for it, I would stop and ask - What are you wanting to do deploy? If you are only wanting to deploy/capture images them MDT is less of a learning curve to install etc..... I would use @DJ-1701 guide for MDT - That should get you going. No point in spending time on SCCM if you dont really need half the functions within it.

Looking at setting up VLANs and may need to include VOIP at somepoint. Anyone got any hints/tips for setting up VLANS/QoS etc on the EdgeSwitch Lite Cheers

Last batch had 1 power supply fail but was swapped out under warranty. Previous batches couple of drives failed and swapped under warranty. Out of approx 100 refurb units only had issues with about 5 units.

With limited budgets refurbs are a get way of getting more for your money especially as you can get warranty with them. We had had refurbs for the last couple of years and planning to do the same this year.

We run them in our library along side normal desktop. Use them for general office type apps and some internet browsing as long as it isn't multimedia based stuff they work fine.

We deliver different start menus for staff and students. Students get a totally redirected start menu showing all shortcuts regardless if software is installed or not. Staff have normal start menu plus shortcuts added by GPO so only shortcuts show for installed for installed software. Just wondering how other people deliver their start menus

Having just watched the whole video I did notice there were some bits I didn't do...... definitely will have a play on Monday morning Not to mention looking at ways of speeding login times - current anything from 1 - 2 minutes!

Having had a play with 1703 edition I have opted to go back to LTSB until I decide what to do about whole school deployment in September. I understand that the profiles for 1703 and 1607 are the same so I'll have a play and watch the video properly.

Tested and no issues logging in. Can upload photos and from cloud account but not from my device (although I think this was because had no files saved to device)

Ok..... thought would look at moving from LTSB to 1703 Enterprise edition and would create a new Mandatory profile. Gone though the normal steps.... come to copy the profile, and thought ok, control panel etc..... and no control panel!! How do I copy a profile off 1703 when I can get access to the advanced settings section to copy the profile etc....

Would be good, especially as I have some questions relating to an alumni site we have setup and I want to make sure we are covered in regards to the data we are collecting/storing.

Posting this under OS deployment as it isnt a Windows 10 as such....... Have been testing and deploying Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB (1607) without issue using SCCM. I've come to test Windows 10 Enterprise (1703) and it is stopping at "Let's connect you to a network" Do I need to stick something in the answerfile to skip this bit? CHeers

Year 13 leaving today and my office looks like this..... It the same on the other side of the office..... in total 15 office chairs not including the 3 chairs that normally reside in our office.

Managed to resolve my Windows 10 Start Menu - I was using a redirected start menu which worked fine - except I had to make sure any of the shortcuts I wanted pinned were also included in the redirected start menu.

Using a redirected startmenus - had to make sure the relevant shortcuts exist in both redirected menus Now working!

Strange one........ i'm using the same start menu xml file for both staff and students which use the same shortcuts...... For the most part - things appear - unlike before but this is where it gets strange.... Staff Logon, they see different icons to students and vice versa Quick example: Staff see My Computer shortcut but students cannot Student can see the log off shortcut but staff cannot permissions are set for authenticated users to read - so they can all see the xml file and shortcuts. Nothing in the eventlog to show an issue. Anyone any ideas?
