thanks chad, will have a look at that. Basically I have my 66 and 67 set to our ltsp servers. The clients that need to pxe to fog have a dhcp reservation with the relevant 66 and 67 options for fog. When i start wds services all the dhcp options are overridden and all pc's try to pxe to wds server. I want only a couple to do this which will be set by reservation, the rest need to remain as they are. any ideas? nick -

yes it is the master (only) node in that storage group.

hi we currently use FOG here. We're contemplating whether we should upgrade the hardware FOG runs on, or use WDS (Windows Deployment Services). So I've setup a test WDS server. WDS somehow managed to just take over, and be PXE-booted regardless of what options 66 and 67 in DHCP say. Anyone know why this is? It's rather annoying, and makes it a pain to test it as our ltsp clients wont boot when wds services are running. nick.

Yes upn suffix is as above. The storage node can deploy an image normally, but try multicasting the same image you get the above error.

Hi We have had our fog server working really well for a year, i upgraded to 0,30 when it came out. We have just started deploying windows 7, our fog server is nearly full of our xp images, which we want to keep for a while incase we need to roll back for any reason, so we are storing the 7 images on a storage node. The fog server will multicast fine, however when i try to multicast an image that is on the storage node i get this error in the multicast.log on the fog server and clients sit on please wait. Anyone got any ideas? thanks nick

See here http://www.edugeek.net/forums/educational-jobs/75272-priory-school-hitchin-hertfordshire-ict-manager-pay-scale-h9-28-636-p.html The email address has mention tags around it hence the link is broken. @tallwood Well said, thank you.

@john I can see what you are saying but, if your school had been using sso for 3 years with no probs and then at 9 am we suddenly get the head coming down saying 'no-one can do their registers or see who is on cover because they camt log in'. It then took us a lot of time to create every teacher, cover supervisor and slt resource passwords, and then explain how to use them. This meant the teachers could not do registers till after break, and no-one knew who was on cover. It was my department that were getting it in the neck for the issue we can't fix. Like I said sso has been fine for 3 years, so why do they change it now. Nick

We installed the Facility/eportal 11.1 update yesterday to find it broke our ldap login to eportal, meaning we had to create all staff resource passwords. Aparently this is a known issue and they are working to fix it but have NOT pulled the update. Just a heads up to everyone. Nick

hi @FN-GM I believe the esx licences and esxi licences are different. If i remember correctly the esx licences would need to be upgraded to work with esxi. nick
