scenario 1 looks good for me, depending on how you would What about backup? also what about box2 vm2 , would you have this backup done by hyper v replication ? or snapshots ? or would you a cluster sims SQL server?

can you upload an infected file to Jotti's malware scan once uploaded you can see what the virus is called and make a plan of action and who has the best software to remove it. i would not believe the line "this is a zero day attack " , IMO it is sophos that is just not up to catching it / removing it.

yes there are switches to change the profile , for example we use "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --allow-no-sandbox-job you could try Solution Google seem to have created their own variables rather than using the standard Windows environmental variables. The current list of Chrome variables on Windows includes: %APPDATA% = ${roaming_app_data} %LOCALAPPDATA% = ${local_app_data} %USERNAME% = ${user_name} %COMPUTERNAME% = ${machine_name} %USERPROFILE% = ${profile} %PROGRAMFILES% = ${program_files} %WINDIR% = ${windows} Other variables: ${documents} – The “Documents” folder for the current user. (“C:\Users\Administrator\Documents”) ${global_app_data} – The system-wide Application Data folder. (“C:\AppData”) So for example, to store Chrome’s user data in the roaming application data section of users profiles, I set the UserDataDir policy path to: ${roaming_app_data}\Google\Chrome\User Data tags: Google Chrome

what switches do you have ? i would plug a laptop in and note the mac address and get on these switches to find out what port the mac address is paired with ( i think this can only be done on HP procurve and cisco's) -
what raid ? what disks? i would download a benchmark / IO tester

whats the hardware its on? VM ?
-
illegal but can be done , if you do it the normal way it's soooo slow but there are pre-configured Vm's out there you can download into hyper-v or ESXi

RE: Intersteller I had this problem , i am not hard of hearing but hate it when characters mumble, When they do i normally turn up my surround sound to max but this was in the cinema, it was so bad after the movie the friend i saw it with was confused about certain parts , to which i had to repeat " did you not hear it when he said x , y , z " etc The movie let me down abit to be honest , the first hour of the 2hr50mins film is on the farm. ending: some may find laughable, if you have no patience this really isn't a film for you.

Does any supplier have the Epson EB-X20 in stock please?
-
sounds strange but trying using the AP's at floor level and see if that fixes the problem. I have seen steels in buildings act like a faraday cage and the wireless "mushroom" signal gets disrupted.

I don't believe you can do anything unless you have managed switched , the unmanned ones have no intelligence over storm handling or spanning tree , I know that's not helpful or what you wanted to hear . Perhaps ask the powers that be about upgrading them ? They should listen to you as It's quite serious if a student could bring down the whole school by simply plugging in a cable wrong
