I never thought I would say this but after playing MW, MW2 and the Halo games (1-3, ODST and Reach) I really do believe Halo Multiplayer is much more of a challenge. Also I have never been called a ********* **** **** on Halo by a 12 year old kid. (PM me if you really want to know the disgusting language).

Before going to Uni and ending up in Education, I worked part-time in a couple of retail based IT repair shops over 5 years. I have to say I'm shocked at the out right deceit that went on in this video. If a customer comes in with a loose memory chip, you sort it and charge the minimum diagnosis fee. Usually around £15 but quite often for something like that we would just do it for nothing. If we were doing a data backup for a customer onto our own backup media we would sometimes glance at folders to get a general idea of the type of media, size and make sure there wasn't anything obviously illegal (We once encountered word files and pictures in the root of a customer's my documents that we had to get the police involved with but that's another story). We never actively looked through files and pictures however. Customers who come in with problems are often not very computer literate so a large amount of trust is placed in us to correctly identify the problem and keep their equipment and data secure. Those cowboys are giving the industry a bad name.

I've read that it has major performance issues on an i7 with 6GB of RAM. Ouch.

The Windows 7 Start Menu Search box is not displaying any results. It just says "searching..." I had tried all the other solutions: Hot fix, registry fixes etc to no avail. It turns out, disabling On-Access scanning in Sophos Anti Virus (specifically, the "Read" part) fixes it. Has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it without having to disable a key part of Sophos? It's a right pain as we need to have on-access scanning enabled.

When it came to target practice there was a shortage of rifles so the drill sergeant handed him a stick and told him to just say "Bangity bang bang!". When they practiced with bayonets there weren't enough to go around so the drill sergeant again handed him a stick and told him to just say "Stabity stab stab!". Fast forward a few months and the man's unit is on the way to storm the beaches of France. Again, there are not enough rifles to go around so the young man is given a stick. As he storms the beaches, he sees a German soldier on a ridge. He knows he is going to die so he thinks "What the heck" and points the stick at him shouting "Bangity! bang! bang!", the German drops dead. The young man is shocked but keeps moving up the beach. As he gets to the top he is confronted by another German, he moves the stick towards him shouting "Stabity! stab! stab!". The German drops dead. He then sees a German walking towards him, the man raises his stick and shouts "Bangity bang bang!". The German keeps walking. He then runs at the German shouting "Stabity stab stab!". The German walks over him fatally wounding the young man. The last thing the young man hears from the German is: "Tankity tank tank".

Our Kyocera's are under 1p a sheet (Cost of cartridge / Yield ). The HP's can be anything from 0.7p for compatible toner, 1p for black high yield upto 4p a sheer for colour. The few Epson inkjets (ERGH) teachers have are from 4p a sheet for black, ~6p for colour. We charge: 2p per sheet for Black and white laser printing. 4p per sheet for Colour laser printing. Although the charges are arbitrary amounts and we do increase their credit for coursework etc... We use PCounter here.

I should have said and do agree that from what I've seen, the support has been excellent. As Pete touched on, a fix has been tried this morning so fingers crossed they are close to the solution. It's annoying the problem occurs at all as it has become such an important part of our job within the school. The ability to monitor the network, block inappropriate sites, content and language and to remotely control computers makes it worth what we pay, this is why we are so desperate for a fix.

True story: Me and the missus actually tried joining a vegetarian club last week but they wouldn't lettuce in. When we did manage to get in, all the vegans would turnip late. Seriously though.. Meat, vegetables...I don't carrot all. I'll eat whatever until there isn't mushroom left in my stomach.
