  6. Personally I would build another as a DC install DHCP and configure and then change the IP of the old one and to the new one and migrate files over after. But normally I wouldn't use a DC as a File Server

  12. SBS has some features which would actually be pretty good in the full version (such as its remote access RDP stuff). But thats about it. Sharepoint should just be shot and Exchange being removed is pushing people to the Cloud. Which A lot of my customers with SBS would not want to do. Therefore will look to alternatives as Exchange is expensive in the private world.
  13. But you are then reliant on Hyper-V.. yuck
  14. It was nice the sun today but unfortuntly it seems every time I walked outside it decided to pee it down within about a minute. Walk back into building and within a minute the torrential downpour stopped. Plus being in Central london which is just full of people (who get in the way). And a train which was supposed to leave @ 8:25 which didn't arrive into the station until 9:14 all in all crap day!!!

  17. If you use Ubuntu for Backup PC its simply a case of apt-get install backuppc and the add a server setup what shares to backup. It comes pre-configured with a schedule for backups (incremental sat-thurs with Friday Full Backup.
  18. Do the clients have firewalls on? Sounds like they are blocking the WMI check from the server.

  20. Talk to @CyberNerd about TS he runs clusters of them off desktop hardware using SSD's and lots of ram - if you have a farm at a fraction of the cost and even if the odd component pops you have saved a lot. Just create an Image for a TS and reimage a new ssd.
  21. I used to run a VM for remote access for staff with 10GB ram running 2k8 R2. You will be surprised at the performance from it!
  22. Shares on Windows you can't beat BackupPC for free. Also with SQL maintenance plans and then use Backup PC to dump. Exchange use the in built Windows Server Backup.

  24. You will find that Prezi launches Java script from one of google's servers. that is the cause of the issue with the page not being loaded as this tends to be blocked.
  25. @Heebeejeebee The Campsites run completely seperate are they not from the actual Silverstone circuit i.e you book a ticket to the race track but have to get camping from a third party? That was always my understanding of the situation silverstone all the times I have been there.
