Personally I would look towards vanilla but its only if the skill set is there for managing it. With the added extra's which come with Windows now in my opinion no need for these third party management tools. I'm not sure what Virtualization stuff RM support but thats the route I would be going.

Not sure what is going on here - and I'm no BES expert. I have a clients who's devices only seem to sync every couple of hours - is there a way to set this to be sooner? They are using BES express 5.0 Any advice much appreciated.

Are these not set in Active Directory? I thought HAP pulled data from AD for Drive mappings?

In the classroom environment from what I have seen of Aerohive the classroom control software is something Meraki don't have granted. When I mentioned controller I meant the management features overall as I know Aerohive doesn't have a controller - its chalk and cheese at the end of the day!

I know @Mr_Wu has got a lightspeed device. But I can highly recommend Smoothwall devices as well. They will also do a software only version if required which you can install on A. Your own hardward and B. a VM if needs be. Support is also top notch

ok - so although you can ping through across the vlans - can you access the shares etc? it sounds like you are blocking the traffic between the two - are you able to post up the acl lists? i'm no expert with Cisco being an HP man but i know there are a few Cisco people around here!

Yup as domino says - it stores a copy in each mailbox so for 60 staff you have 6 x 60 = 360mb in the database. Personally I would recommend you get staff to hyperlink to the files in a shared drive. Once staff get used to this its actually very simple and just as easy as adding the attachment in the first place.

Sounds like you are blocking traffic between the two vlans accept ICMP. What switches do you have?

With Exchange 2003 you can extract mailbox's using Exmerge from Microsoft to export mailbox's to PST. You can then use Powershell scripting to bulk import pst's into exchange 2010 like this.

That - and you need to go through and reset share permissions etc as the user/groups UUID's will have changed. But personally I would only do it as a temporary measure until I could rebuild a machine which has been only on one domain but thats just me being pedantic about the whole changing domains thing You also need to make sure you have SQL logins setup as well as Windows Auth on the SQL instance. Yes as FN-GM says Don't do that with Exchange - Sims/File Servers you can just about get away with it. What version of exchange you running?
