I have the script to output a text file, the script looks for this first. On detection it skips configuring the mailbox. Of course you don't want the configuring to take place on each login.

Me too please...?!? -
Sorry to put a different spin on the post, I'm a bit of a Windows freak, not touched RM CC3/4 etc. How difficult is RM CC3 to manage, learn, and tinker with? Just out of interest guys. Cheers!

As 'rush_tech' says, Success Maker will only print to the default printer.

If money isn't an object - I'm sure it is! Helix Server/Media Server - Real Producer...

Applied the above patch and all is well again. Very odd!

I'm currently running revision 5629. I'm about to apply this hotfix which isn't applied as yet: http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/289185.htm I'll look to see if those KB's were installed. I personally haven’t installed any updates on the server for a while. Most definitely not in the last three months. I believe I've set it up so it downloads them and awaits my confirmation before installation also. Right - Looks although I hadn't set it up as I thought. Both thoses KB's were installed on the 9th Jan. My backup job then started failing on the 21st. That doesn't suggest it was those KB's?

Interesting - now you mention it I did read that on the support site. Am I right in thinking this is causing the server to fail on the backup entirely? Luckily it's only our second domain controller, I can always rebuild this relatively quickly if a disaster was to occur. We also have an old backup previous to this error. Nightmare!

Morning all, I have a very odd problem that I’ve not seen before. The issue is now reoccurring; it started on Monday night’s backup job. I receive the following failure notice on Backup Exec: I have checked this out on the net to find not a great deal! I have also checked the Event Viewer, which reported: Along with the next immediate entry: I've gone through the following site I come across, the only site relevant to the Event ID. http://www.itnewsgroups.net/group/microsoft.public.windows.server.general/topic6159.aspx I don't have any errors when looking at the backup logs though, nor do I receive errors when running 'Vssadmin list writers' in CMD. I've had a look at the VSS updates suggested but the symptoms don't match. The symptoms don't show my Event ID at all? Has anyone else had this problem? Any help greatly appreciated!

We have the Bloxx system also, very impressed. Again, not cheap. We use the Bloxx reporting tools to track students Internet usage.

Morning all, Seems there is a problem with the EduGeek.net site. Forums are alive though!

The use of a good filtering service, something like Smoothwall or Bloxx perhaps?

Evening all, I have come across the following section of the popular Bebo site. It has a wealth of information for pupils, staff and parents. http://www.bebo.com/safety After coming across the above site, I thought perhaps this is common amongst the popular networking sites, and MySpace have a similar section, not quite as user-friendly, but all the same, please have a look and pass it on. www.myspace.com/safety I thought something like this would be useful as group discussions amougst the kids. Something to share with your staff perhaps?

I 'Secundus' that! -
I posted this a while ago on another thread http://edugeek.net/forums/showthread.php?p=120952. You could possibly be having the same issue. Perhaps running your own NTP server might help?

@ ajbritton - you're correct, I think he meant Security Groups. As per my previous posts.

You're most welcome! Glad you managed to sort it.

Indeed - What a day that would be?

Yes I was informed of Empowered yesterday. Luckily I don't have any schools using Empowered, a good friend of mine did have though. I was hoping to possibly join their team at some point in the near future! That's officially out the window!
