  1. Personally have an iPhone with a spotify premium account. All the music you could want (nearly), legally, streamed, in one device which does loads of other stuff too... RwD
  2. Are the machines all on the same switch or different ones? What does their ipconfig report? Are they getting a DHCP address? Are they set to the wrong static address...
  3. Can't beat an Audi... The 5's look nice, what toys has it got inside? Been eyeing mine up to have cruise, DIS, iPhone, multi function wheel etc retrofitted (S-Lines come with bugger all as standard as I'm sure you found out!)
  4. Do Not Find The Tiramisu, silly! mmmm delicious Tiramisu! On a another note, where can I bulk buy flowers and clip-on hippie hair?
  5. Failing that type of scripting, google 'tst10.exe' for a scriptable telnet program. We use it here to back up all the switch configs, we can do about 20 in a minute...
  6. Excellent - expect to have staff at our place talking to the printers on thursday! Bonus points for anyone with a home laminator to make them look that little more professional...
  7. Personally I'm a Logitech G5 fan... it's what fits your hand best though - and budget?
  8. I've been looking at swapping mine out for something economical, I get two supprised moments - asking if they'll px an Audi A4, and then saying there's no finance on it or the car I'll be buying... Enjoy the new Lexus - just takes my mind back to Alan Partridge... Is the plural Lexii?
  9. You should be able to sort yourself out with a full system (software, printer, stack of cards, ribbon, camera) with change from £1500... Depends how much useage you're going to have and what need for speed you have (we were looking at staff only so speed didn't come into it) Securit World Ltd ID Card Printers Ribbons, ID Card Systems, Identity Card Printing, Visitor Management Systems and ID Accessories Give them a mail - they happily came out and did us a demo.
  10. I was just thinking the same thing runcmd - thankfully it's private!
  11. The Closest thing to a VB6 control array in VB.NET - CodeProject That any good?
  12. Yeah - I'd go for the local cache version as it then doesn't throw a wobbley when the pc can't get a network connection.
  13. After looking round for quite a while we settled on a Magicard Opera from securit. Was very impressive during the demo and seemed decent value too, not too costly to run either. Sadly the order never got placed due to so I can't tell you how good they are in the real world so to speak...
  14. Yup - has remote access - though the file size limit is 2Gb i'm sure you can set up remote FTP to it too. The 180 day trial should still be about too. RwD
  15. yup, explorer and command line... (the latter being especially impressive if people don't know what you're doing...)
  16. Heh, first car was a banger - '96 fiat punto which was 9 when I got it. Got run into the nearside corner, relpaced the indicator and bentthe panel back sort of... few weeks later my mate reversed his brand new Mini One7 into the other corner and made the dents almost exactly symetrical. He needed a new bumper though. Sold that a year ago, got an A4, protective as hell about it as it was pristene when I got it. Two months into owning it - taxi driver reverses into it and takes out a door. I'm after something economical and < 1 year old now, so I get to be all protective all over again soon!
  17. Was the bit of kit intelligent or just a vga > cat 5 extender? Google for 'cat 5 to vga' if it was the latter.
  18. I think it's 'cause they're all ringing me! My boss is in meetings all day, last night marks the end of this years school production (so that's 8:00 - 22:00 tue, weds, and thurs), the other technician is off, lotsof things keep breaking and this is the first time I've sat down... I've also just written and re-written an email 6 times before deciding I can't actually write what I'm trying to, so I've given up for now.
  19. ...aaaannnnndddd it's time to sell my car and buy something a little more economical... It's amazing - when prices went over £1.00 there was rioting, and now they've sneaked it up to £1.15 no one bats an eyelid in comparrison. I remember hearing something a while ago about the proportion of cash that goes to the government and the proportion that goes to the oil industry. The oil companies get a lot less than you'd think!
  20. LCD monitor test images Might help a little bit...
  21. Excellent point - I'd missed that bit out when i'd re-read it! I stand corrected (well, I'm sitting down but you get my point)
  22. Surely he's £50 up because he no longer owe's the butcher money?
  23. CP (top left), edit details, 3rd box up from the bottom...
  24. Looks like an excellent deal - slightly offtopic - the link in your profile/under your AV, to the website points to http://www.edugeek.net/forums/www.thomas-online.co.uk, which i think may be a bit wrong - might want to correct it.
  25. Amazing - I always thought it was CGI'd... one dreads to think of the cost!
