youd probably want to throw in a terminal server in there for legacy stuff and if you want that to be single sign on with their gmail/office365 accounts youd probably need a dc as well (tbh just to run a ts youre probably going to need a dc) and once you have a dc you can soon use that as a print host though again im not sure how welt that would work with random non domained devices you could get cloud reasy printers then chrome/chromebooks should find them but I cant believe its as simple as it sounds

i had a surface pro 1 for a few years i replaced it with a chromebook its easier to use on the sofa being a clamshell does less granted but i have a laptop if i need grunt/windows and i found i still needed that with the surface anyway

if you have a naming convention for pcs at each site you might be able to batch.vbs it so if %computername% contains site1 then server$=\\site1\dfs\... (not actual code just a general idea)

you can do it that way as well you can use mdt to capture your preconfigured image and fire that out if ou want i just try and keep it simple and to me letting msi deployment/scripts do software is simpler means if i cant recreate a base image and forget to isntall x to it for example but its a matter of opinion which way is better

if you format the csv right you can just use powershell not that i do it that way ive got a spreadsheet ive been using over the years but its a pain to explain to people lol

you can but theres better ways of using it (if you are meaning capture an image rather than deploy one). i dont even make images anymore i just fire out the latest win 10 image and script install what i need and let mdt worry about drivers

well fire emblem is almost like a different game when you play it a bit less cautiously. Last 2 maps ive been trying to get ike levels up (in the first map) and it still wasnt enough even at max rang to kill the black knight damn you rng gods and the last map i did i was trying to make elencia a viable unit (you get her very latee in teh game as a level 1 unit (luckily promoted but still) so map where i levelled ike up i dumped all my stat boost items on her to make her not die from 1 hit next level i carefully used her to kill as many units as i could and ended up with someone whos main use is a healer getting mvp lol. Its certainly odd not being cautious and just going for it (all be it with only a few enemy units at a time)and still not having anyone die on the level (with no resets)

1070 can do 4k fine it probably depends on the game though ive just quickly booted up forza apex on my laptop (1070) and 4k and 1080p but ran at near as dammit 60fps (i think the lowest i saw was 57)same track etc. i assume forza is capped at 60fps in that case but all other settings were identical so maxed out

as modern apps on w10 (like photo viewer etc) dont seem capable of printing without causing issues to a copier with a code im wondering if adding the copier (its usually a konica but depends on the school) to active directory would be a better / less problematic solution. what i want to know is if i use ad to authenticate on the copier whos printing what can i still make them go to the copier and log in to print their junk rather than it just churning out the moment its sent and if so i assume they will be required to type in their full ad username password (or possibly be able to select from a dropdown but id not of thought that would work) ive seen papercuts do this with card sin 1 school but most schools arnt going to shell out for that (ive tried various times just to cut down on wasted paper but they wont bite) and the 1 school i have that uses that its part of the copier contract and the company wanted silly money to move it to a new server so i ended up virtualising the old server which i could of lived without
