Hi I would like to create two GAL's. ( I know my ldap syntax below is incorrect, its just for the email) containing the following. Students GAL --> Domain1.Local/OU=Students Staff GAL --> Domain1.Local/OU=Staff --> Domain2.Local/OU=Staff --> Domain1.Local/OU=Distro Lists I am a bit unsure of the syntax for the powershell command Set-GLobalAddressLIst Set-GlobalAddressList -name "Staff Global Address List" -RecipientContainer --> Can I pass multiple OU's to this?

you mean that thread i've already replied in?

that does actually look quite handy -
we do have an all staff list, but it is restricted and we have individual lists for departments / logical groups. as far as bearing the brunt of the frustration. make a policy and stick to it. if staff have a problem with school policy its their problem. funnily enough though its only education where i've seen the need for this, in other industries they tend to employ adults so it isn't so much of a problem.

there is a reg key to disable sccm server using uuids. didn't work from what i remember you ended up with the same symptoms your getting, i've found the only thing to work is to re-program the uuid. check the uuid when it boots ups and see if its somehting stupid like 111111-222222-4444444--9999999 also what bios have machines got, if its ami i might be able to help

how is the computer getting the task sequence in the first place? is it advertised to a specific collecton and you are doing import computer information or are you advertising to unknown computers

Does anyone know which tables/how PXE advertisements are stored in database. I basically want a query that gives me all system resources with a cleared pxe (unexecuted) advertisement. maybe even filter off the mac i provide.

I turned all the conditions of the policy off and it does connect the test machine, but I have to login using a domain user account. I am actually logged into the test machine locally so it prompts for domain credentials which seems a little odd. given there is no condition there for that. I think the machine needs a cert issued, will check in a minute.

okay the NPS server is complaining there is no domain controller for domain rather than the domain of the computer it is actually the local computer name

guys to use the youtube media option on bloxxx do you need an additional "media filter" box -
given you said it worked fine booting off usb / iso for a linux distro, its got likely its the windows drivers? but i used to have problems running one of our servers using the HP supplied drivers it would randomly just not ping certain hosts on the network and I mean random, i ended up re-formatting and using the built in server 2008 r2 drivers and never had a single problem since.

yes now you come to mention it, it was mainly apostrophes in between the wrong letters.

matt was looking at your website and gold / bronze / silver per pc. thinking hypothetically, someone has bought support for 20 pcs. calls you and its the server pc (technically) work fine, its the server thats the problem or their network or whatever, how does this work, i'm not trying to be fetitious here mate i'm just trying to understand the best way to negiotiate this kind of thing with potential customers.

do you advertise or just word of mouth?
-
personally i avoid it like the plague,

cool forgot about default groups. that will do it.! friday!
-
no they are not dual boot, i don't fancy 500 odd mac address's though. I suppose i could make the machines a member of a group and do it that way but it does seem a little silly, and i can see new machines being joined being forgotten to add to the group its not laziness as such its more I don't want a junior tech moving an pc round having to wait for a network guy to reconfigure the switch port.
-
hi with NPS can i set a condition for the network policy for membership of a particular domain? basically i have two domains and i want to shunt the switch port to different vlans depeneding on the domain membership of the computer.
