Just downloaded SUSE 12.2 and even just running through the installer feels a lot more responsive. lots of changes relevant to 64bit processors, haven't actually read details yet. tho

hmm might give that a try. probably should wait for java update though cause i have sequence (app-v) IE with flash and java and silverlight and 5 million different web shortcuts and i don't want to do it again! might use the tmg client anyways though. do you know how it works on a technical level?
-
yes, my problem is java 7 update 7 doesn't handle proxy ntlm v2 authentication properly apparently its fixed in update 8 . a developer preview is out. not sure when its RTM
-
Hi Java keeps prompting for credentials for the proxy? Had this a lot, never really find a good solution.

Currently when we make a new user I just setup the outlook profile manually. Would like to automate this. Don't even have a default profile currently. So whats the options, whats working for people in the real world?

not for me, we have a problem with IE where it doesn't print more than 6 pages on somethings (Reports from SIMS) and i was hoping to get them using chrome, its all good apart from no send this page to email function, screenshot doesn't really cut it for 50 odd page report. p.s. is php scratchcard anywhere?

Hi is there an extension for chrome that lets you email the contents of the page you are on? I've seen this https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/email-this-page-by-google/dbeoemfhkdniadbojeencpkgmobndpai but it only seems to let you email a link, unless i am switched off today.

Epic answer mate cheers! I was thinking along those lines. thanks for confirming,

i have a spreadsheet on a shared drive which the parent folder has staff / read & a specific group has write access. i have set the auditing entry to log permission changes and it logged me set some test permissions and then give all staff change access. the file's permissions keep resetting to the same as the parents and losing the auditing entry. ??

dunno i turned it off for now as I only need computer certs for 802.1x
-
okay, i will check that out, tbh i need to remove the certificates right now. i have turned off auto-enrollment. edit: just checked they have a roaming profile. hmm
-
Auto enrollment seems to have gone crazy for one user and given them hundreds of certificates? i'm trying to remove the them from the userCertificate attribute but its going to take years as i have to do one at a time. ADSIedit is no different from the attributes tab in ADUC unless i'm missing something?

found what the problem was, (normally do 3 seconds after posting ) be careful most of the documentation on tinternet is for old versions and the config files have changed somewhat. so best to use the official documentation that link you linked to doesn't work with the new version, thats what i was using. the sync part where after it logs you in creates an entry in the database for the ldaP user is wrong, and you should check the official documentation

is there any silly trick to get LDAP authentication working between AD & OTRS? I have this set $Self->{'AuthModule::LDAP::SearchUserDN'} = 'otrs_ldap'; $Self->{'AuthModule::LDAP::SearchUserPw'} = 'PASSWORD'; but wireshark tells me bindrequest / simple / missing?

380 g4's will run 64bit on the metal but no 64bit vms.

that interests me, when i say no wireless, i mean no 802.11 Wifi. anything else is up for discussion.
-
requirement is no wireless. the cost of wireless is not the issue. not going into detail on that on here.
