This is a complex calculation. The school report which was delivered in autumn does this calculation for you.

Unlikely!! We only have around 100 schools on so far.

Nova-T4 diehards won't adjust to anything else!! Nova-T6 saves several weeks of effort by comparison. T4 will run on later machines than XP.

If your SLT hasn't found it already take a look at the new(ish) school report. This gives SLT all sorts of data on groups such as these; its modelled on Raise on Line.

Always assuming that you're at a state school, the school roll, which is what the MIS is, is a legal requirement. Strictly speaking you should not admit children early - it is against regulations.

@CAM yes you have control over when the checks start. @vikpaw - just an alternative way of sourcing your comms!

Hardly - they've both run for years pretty well without fault.

@vikpaw - you'd need our communications option to email. The process checks on result sets having null entries and was designed to alert anyone that subscribes to that service.

Your old system can email teachers when they don't complete an assessment!

Yes it is different. If you are using our Hosted SLG service the Teacher App is included. If you are hosting SLG yourself or via a support team, its 50% of the full charge.

@wardsidjames Making it available for TAs is a no brainer - sorry you have been told otherwise.

Following your feedback we'll make the adjustment to allow TAs etc to be activated - that's fairly straight forward. Using the Azure service bus shouldn't be an issue - something else is going on. I'd be grateful if you could log a case with us.

@matt40k - how many schools/LAs do you think have implemented AD? I'd say a very small minority. Using SQL IDs was an absolute no no so we have passed authentication over to the big Internet players who have advanced intrusion detection systems in place etc.; in my view a sensible decision. What is so undesirable about using a "personal account" to link the device to SIMS - the administrator can disable a device instantly. Only a single device is authorised. Absolutely no negative feedback has reached me from the schools that have been using Teacher App for the last 6 months over this way of signing in. It is certainly disappointing that we were unable to resolve the O365 issues before release but that wasn't for the want of trying. However following feedback on this thread we will look at allowing the administrator to restrict IDs to one or more domains. I think that is a fairly minor change to make.

An update on O365 authentication. We have the answer and expect to implement by mid-March.

@Stuclark I'm not able to say how soon we'll have O365. We had hoped it would be ready for the Feb release but MS couldn't figure why it wouldn't work! Since we are working at MS COO level I don't think it will be long. The whole on-boarding process has been designed to be simple, avoiding complex installs but safe. We're a FTSE100 company and do not take risks with children's data. We currently have around 80,000 registered users making use of Google/Live IDs to access SIMS modules.
