Update - MS are producing a patch ETA end of May. They think it will solve the slowing down issue but we have them coming in to demonstrate.

I've just checked - there is a new migration utility but it has only just completed test. Should be out by end of next week.

@matt40k here's something from my expert! The SOLUS3 school server uses GUIDs to identify the agent\workstation (GUIDs chosen to make it more difficult to impersonate a PC). In the latest release 3.9, if the machine has been reimaged or agent installed manually, the user can use the Reinstall Agent to sync the Guid with the Deployment Server. This is a new more robust feature in version 3.9, and the agent should quickly come online. If this doesn't fix the issue please raise a case.

@cullingsh - this relates to an issue we have picked up with the Microsoft Azure Relay Bus - the retry policy for connection has been impacting the server for a small number of schools. Microsoft have released a patch update and we are now implementing into the app services - the team have it as a priority and will be working on this over the next 1-2 weeks. It has impacted up to 5 schools I understand - we had to check to ensure it was not a SQL 2014 upgrade.

@cullingsh - please pass me a case reference - I can't say I've heard of that problem and there are well over 200 schools using it now.

SOLUS 3.9 gets around the GUID issue - you can re-install.

It's OK to go over to SQL2014 as compatibility mode runs fine. Our tool auto-sets into this mode.

Originally MS suggested we re-write 5m lines of code. We didn't think that was a great idea but fortunately MS have a growing number of software houses with the same issue and they are are investigating further.

This is an issue when using SOLUS2 also. I'm trying to find out why we require SA access for the B2B operation.

@Steve21 unlikely that we will produce a browser solution. Some of the latest tools that we're using would allow us to build new apps in that way. It does however work really well on W8 & W10 is going to be free for a year - would you put W10 on your PCs?

@Bubbles are your schools using B2B? If so the issue is to do with insufficient access rights.

@Marshall_IT you'll be pleased that any latency will go in the release that has been submitted to the App Store although photos will take a while the first time they are loaded. The PIN is available in the same release. (It might take several submissions to get it approved so we expect end of May) @pete There aren't currently plans to format it for a phone although if there is sufficient interest we'll consider it. The Teacher App is designed to be a complete replacement for teachers and as such assessment mark sheets are a key deliverable. There is no way a mark sheet (with formulas due later this year) would render properly on a phone - at least I don't think it can be done. Perhaps the iWatch

@ForgotMyPassword - I've just seen the next release (due end of May) - any lag has gone completely.

Solus 2 reaches end of life within the next 12 months. You should move to SOLUS3 - its getting pretty good feedback on another thread.

It was released around 15 mins ago so later than I'd been told. It could be your support unit hasn't made it available and you have to ask them.

A patch for this issue will be issued today - available on S2 & S3.

It's the version of the CTF rather than SIMS that counts.
