  1. This doesn't seem to be an ntlm issue - as we have found someone with an ident setup suffering. So, we can rule that out. We're still trying to replicate it in the lab.
  2. Just punting this back into life - we're still looking for support types, ex-school techs seem to make great, patient support agents
  3. I started using *star* emphasis on fidonet, and it stuck.. anyone else an ex fido point, I wonder...
  4. Data Recovery Software and Undelete from R-TT Costs a bit, but not fortunes. Seems to work very well.
  5. @pete; we sure do OTOH, I never have the kindle at work, maybe we need to order one for "research"!
  6. Not yet - I keep forgetting. Sorry!
  7. Hrm. GIS serves images as in-page base64 these days IIRC - so it must be some sort of in-page mangle? Unlikely to be a straight block on a domain or url. Be interested to see the page source of a pair of identical GIS requests, one proxied, one not.
  8. Some really hardcore monitoring stuff? Thats always fun! Budget for 1 linux box and a big telly to display the results
  9. Sure the netgear isnt overheating? They're beggars for it.
  10. Depends what you're after... cosy B&B? I always use Farmhouse Holiday | Farm B & B | Farm Stay - had a few great places off there, no real "misses" so far. I hate chain hotels - prefer to take a risk! If you had a good lot of cash to lavish... Hotels in Lancashire Country House Hotel Small Luxury Hotel is very nice, but only peripherally near the lakes
  11. Ack.. it was another chap with the same issue in smoothie...cbsc..
  12. Interesting. I'm glad you've found a fix (believe me, there's a LONG list of sites to put in "do not auth for" - so much s/w hates NTLM!). Glennda: guardian/auth/settings - the do-not-auth-for box is where it's at.
  13. It is interesting that everyone who is seeing this is using some form of upstream proxy. Duke - who or what is yours?
  14. @cbsc - can you pm me your details, and i'll make a support ticket from it, then if they can solve it, we can let Duke know (either that or make a ticket on our system yourself and PM me the ID)
  15. This is only possible with HTTPS interception AFAIK - as you need to be able to do URL matching in order to hit the right levels of granularity.
  16. Not looked for pr0n yet - but no obvious way to set a proxy on wireless.
  17. Ah, duke, yes, that looked to me like you'd perhaps not filled in a placeholder value! Thanks for clearing that up. I've been asking around our DG & squid folks but no joy as yet - this is not something we have seen before it seems.
  18. Once had a full cup of black coffee spilled all over a cream shirt in a london tube station by an unruly pedestrian. This was me chilling out just before going in to see a potential client. Luckily there was an austin reed just nearby.
  19. Goldenwonder - I am not sure who you are so i'm not able to look up any support history you may have had. I would still like to hear about any problems you had (if you don't mind), regardless of wether you move forward with us or not - especially proxies sneaking by!!
  20. Hm. Duke5a's logs look like there *might* be an issue with upstream proxy?
  21. Are you both using the same DNS servers perhaps? Could be something in there maybes?
  22. Hm. You can add notes to existing docs... but yeah a proper "notepad" util might be handy :-/
