  1. We use Inventry to sign in and out of site with the ID Cards, also staff use them for access control with swipe locks. Students use theirs for library and other things, We print the cards in-house, if it's lost then students pay a small fee for a replacement.
  2. It's very secure:cool:
  3. All ok here, I've updated a few and run the system tests OK.
  4. Watched Bullet Train An entertaining action film with a somewhat good twist, a good watch. Also watched Guardians of the Galaxy 3 I was shocked it was a 12A as it's very in your face with violence and a scene of Gore. Apart from that a fantastic and sad film that stands out from most of the content Marvel have released recently as we learn more about Rocket's past and the future of the Guardians.
  5. It's got to be a 12A right? Very popular with a young audience.
  6. Xibo is good once you've got it setup and going. To echo Steve's post keep it as generic as you can and sync what you can to it because otherwise you get inundated with "Why aren't we putting this up on the displays?!" constantly.
  7. Yes we use Nagios Core, Free and Open source: https://www.nagios.org/projects/nagios-core/
  8. We generally don't have too many issues with PoP but its so unintuitive especially for students just to actually start the exam. Surpass's SecureClient is a nightmare, it's release even more so when we had to sit on the phone for 5 hours...
  9. Brax

    Java IDE

    Ouch, I used BlueJ!
  10. Yes and we block access to the start menu so they can only open from the desktop stuff like Word, Claro Reader or Adobe Reader. I can't remember what commands we used off of the top of my head my head though sorry, but I have documented it at work.
  11. I go to the gym minimum three times a week after work and go on walks as often as I can which really helps my mental. Other than that, reading, games with friends on discord, video editing, making games in unity. I'd like to get into mead brewing too seems super fun.
  12. Plus one for DaveTheTech's recommendation. The HP laserjet M400 series are pretty reliable, never usually have to carry out any repairs with them apart from changing toner.
  13. Ironically they sent out some documents about it and the words "we know this a very very busy time of year" were on there. Well... Why roll it out then?
  14. Interesting thank you. Really basic question but if they're networked how do you deal with restricting the internet?
  15. Good Morning all! Bit of a generic question but I feel it would help knowing how others operate. What is your process for I.T support/provision when it comes to exams? It eats up a lot of my time which is fine as exams are the most crucial part of the school but just wondering how everyone approaches it? Thanks
  16. Although having said that... Anyone else getting issues with follow up flag emails no longer being flagged?
  17. What!! Best part is the burger being together:D
  18. Issues appear to have silently been fixed overnight? Search is now back.
  19. Search and the follow up flag function are not working either. Glad it's not just us.
  20. Yes! Then nibbling the chocolate off the middle bit left to enjoy the nice orange centre
  21. I guess melting and licking the chocolate using your tongue on a malteaser and then when there's no chocolate left finally eat the crispy wafer(?) left.
  22. if you have smoothwall you can enable a setting to remove youtube ads.
  23. If I recall correctly didn't some edugeeks offer you help?
  24. Hi Gareth, I haven't had any experience with ClassVR but when I worked in a SEND specific school , one HTC Vive headset with controllers was very helpful in 1:1 situations with those students to engage with them and also interact with a variety of topics like science. The key part in my opinion is the interaction with the environment. ClassVR is simply looking in the environment rather than interacting from what I've seen but would also love to hear other people's experiences with it to see if it's worth trialing.
  25. Thank you, will fill this out later.
