Hi,

 

Another forum i go on a while back did a thread where people post the internet speed they where getting. Had a look on here but i couldnt find anything so I thought i would do one here. To get the ball rolling here is one i did 10 mins ago.

2.73 down and 0.36 up. Although if you'd asked at the same time yesterday, I got 0.88 down!

 

On the up side, this is from home and it's very quiet and picturesque here.....

Not bad for rural Wales, though that's with zero load from anyone else (multiple connections shared with many other schools).

10 mins ago I had 1GBPS download and 250MBPS upload but now i'm only getting 512kbps download and 64kbps upload hehe! don't know whats happened maybe someone over Preston way has taken up all the bandwidth!!!

 

Some people are just not satisfied until they have got more than anyone else!

 

Can't really see what I could download at that speed or which web service would upload at that speed, I would think most upload sites are throttled and load balanced to stop the site's from crashing.

 

Lots of bittorrents maybe? or films or music or software........................all for nowt!!!

 

Don't do it wouldn't do it not with ZEN anyway used to use them as my ISP until I did my first Microsoft course years back and went to download some Microsoft trial packs, got a nasty e-mail telling me to desist from my activities as they would cut my connection.............I was actually on the Microsoft MCSE course at the time!

 

Moved to talk talk straight away and they have delivered a better service for nothing and twice the speed of ZEN

 

Nice download FN-GM but just watch what you download won't you hehe!
