I Was IT Team Lead - European Region for a major American Corporation in Silicon Valley until the financial markets resulted in redundancy! So now I am using my skillset to help those who are not as fortunate.

lordra Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Helloooouuuuu! Just joined here, was using information here to handle my interview process for an ICT officer last week which I subsequently got ! And I wanted to say thank you to everyone and contribute in the future as I will be working in a school after all! So, a big THANK YOU to the unknown people who unknowingly helped me ace the interview!

ICTDirect_Dave Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Hi to all the new Yorkies! Hope you have an entertaining (and caffiene fuelled) stay!
jjjerryjr Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Hi All, I just joined a few minutes ago. I work at MSU College of Law as a computer tech/assistant network admin. I service a netware box and a windoze 2008 sr2 server. We have mostly PCs running Win 7 and a few XP boxes that hopefully go away soon. We also have a few MACs, which is a stumbling block for me. I found this site after much searching for answers to my project, which is making reliable drive mappings from the MACs to the windows 2008 server. I found a few suggestions here already and plan on trying them to see what I need to do next. I'm sure you will see more from me as I find more questions to throw out there.
Stone_Liz Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Hi Edugeekers! This is the first time I’ve been on edugeek, so it’s all a bit new to me I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to everyone. I’ve been in marketing department at Stone Computers for 10 months now and have joined the site to engage with customer and further develop my personal understanding of technology in education. So please bear this in mind as you’ll have to educate me a little. By no means am I a ‘techie’ by nature so you’ll have to play nice while I learn and develop my knowledge. Although I’m not technical I’m a self-confessed graphic design geek and keen to learn more. If there’s anything you need regarding IT products or services or just fancy a chat about where your institution is headed, then please get in contact with me. If I can’t help you myself, I’ll make sure one of the specialist Stone team get back to you with all the relevant info you need. Looking forward to chatting with you all Liz
Stone_Liz Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Welcome @Stone_Liz Hi @sparkeh, Thanks for the welcome! It's all a bit new, just having a browse on the site.
Stone_Liz Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Hello and welcome, @Stone_Liz Hi @witch, Thank you. It's good to be on here - very new ground for me, but the whole site looks really interesting. Where are you from?
