I've to install 28 desktops in a school over the hols and I stuck up a little tongue in cheek request for everyone to save me time by opening up one box each.

I've just had to unpack 40 PC's myself yesterday. Nightmare. But if I did what you have done parts would have gone missing. Some would probably take the PC. The amount of people that say 'Oooo new Pc's....'

Just unpacked 20 computers and sending an image as we speak, I need some teachers like yours is so time consuming opening them all and throwing away the packaging multiple trips to the recycling the other side of our school, more coming next week but I'll be gone then every teacher that has been past the window as I'm setting them up has asked for a new computer and whats happening with the old ones as theirs at home is slow.

 

Must be so hard to buy a new one if I didn't know any better I'd assume its impossible from what our staff say

This annoys me.

 

They earn enough to buy a new computer, leave the old ones for the poor staff/students.

I managed to get a class of A-Level Business students to do this. You can have these new computers before end of term as long as you move ol;d ones out of the way and un-box the news one. Result was 35 new computers on desk ready for imaging.

Impressive my techy has just unboxed all our new PCs that arrived the other month for our new LRC, its looking more like an IT area now rather than a box holding area

Looks like I'm the only one, but I quote enjoy unpacking! I've been off for a while so I know I've got lots of goodies waiting for me when I get back

 

The bit I don't like is shifting them about - especially when there never appears to be a sack truck available

did a quick google of the E400's and they don't appear to be them. Look more like a P2560, it would have to have been a bloomin' great deal plus

5-yrs warranty to convince me to go with a Micro tower over a SFF these days. Because you can get some great deals on SFF's with 4gig of RAM

and long warranty's.

We built them with the PCs still inside the boxes As our place is a building site departments are all boxed up in boxes anyway so the place is a sea of them so plenty of box forts to be had

Last summer I had 300 PCs to be unboxed. We paid the courier company to do it instead. Money well spent. Took 2 of them 3 days to unbox everything and then another 2 days to clear the room of rubbish. The room was filled with rubbish - you couldn't move for it

And they used their initiative to keep the CD and manuals despite you not listing that on your instruction sheet?
