At 6am with no contention and using my own ISPs server as a testing endpoint I give you NZ internet:

Shakes head in disgust.

That's not much slower than we get at our school!

Yea but bear in mind that that test is to my actual ISPs servers, they decided to host an endpoint themselves to make their scores slightly less abysmal. That means that the raw absoloute maximum speed to my ISP is that, anything out on the internet at all adds more latency and has less bandwidth. Add the time to get through NZs dodgey pile of slow linux box routers before it jumps onto international fibre out via china because its cheaper etc and you start to see how we end up with 350ms of latency or more to the UK.

This quite good for us, 3.52 is the norm... we got 0.82 with BT !

Hoping to go to superfast in the next couple of months. Next door has 32 Meg (Fingers crossed :D)
