Recommended Companies? (Hampshire Border)

Hi folks,

 

We're on the Hampshire border, and struggling to find an AV company that will even produce quotes.

 

We have a few requirements for semi-complex AV installs, but I get the feeling that most companies out there are picking the easy projects/low hanging fruit.

 

I'm also way of picking companies without recommendations as we don't want these projects to go wrong.

 

In short: any recommendations for companies that cover this area?

We used a really good company not long ago via our normal supplier - they got them in a hurry when their normal company couldnt do it. They were telling me that they normally do big AV stuff. They were very good, and left everything beautifully labelled.

My contact is off sick today but I will email him for the name of the company

For AV in the Dorset/Hampshire area give CPS a ring. Very highly recommended.

I've found the quality of Hugh Symons installs to be pretty variable. If their own engineers do the install then it is usally pretty good, but they sometimes subcontract and then the problems start.

 

Don't get me wrong, the installs are always safe, but they are often not very tidy - for example: poor quality soldering, poor trunking, things not straight, projectors not aligned properly, inputs not labelled etc.

 

It depends how picky you are, but as someone who did it (and still does it, in a limited way) for a living, the corner-cutting of some installers really galls me.
