Dos_Box Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 We've heard that due to the Queens diamond jubilee that the helf term may be pushed back a week into June, and as we are in the early stages of planning the conf we need to know what dates schools have been given for the half term holiday that usually comes around at the end of May.

CAM Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 W/C 4th June here. Just noticed that MCM Expo assumed half term would come normal time and they have missed it by a week. But the plus side I will have a pay day between Expo and the EduConf!

GrumbleDook Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 It is not half-term here ... because we don't half terms. We operate a 6 term year and it is a between term break. (The exception is the Academy which used to be a CTC and operates a 5 term year ... far more sensible to be honest.)
elsiegee40 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I think everyone's doing a holiday for the first week in June because there is no late May public holiday this year... the first two days in June are holidays instead. I know most LAs waited until the exam boards had announced they'd cope with it until they formally announced holidays for 2012-13

Sylv3r Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I'm heading off to the West coast of the USA at half term so won't be at the conference this year - will be the first once i've missed in about 4 or 5 years.
