Hi, Sorry to intrude. Did you find an answer to this? Im tasked with the same Job but can only block the syncing of EXE and other files

Dear fellow Edugeekers We recent migrated over to Gmail and all other G suit services Some students are not allowed to send emails but they still need to receive the emails, We use to have exchanges and we could do what we needed in the admin panel quite nicely. Does anyone know of a way to do this in the google admin panel? Sorry if it seems like a LMGTFY question SW

I'm not against change. One thing sims does quite nicely is export daily to a certain area for our in house programs (account creations ect) I asked the sales advisor if this was possible and he didn't really have an answer for me. Did the change over go ok? -
Morning edugeekers. Our school is looking at replacing Sims.net with a mis cloudbase system "bromcom". Is there any school (ideally secondary) in the South west of england that use Bromcom?

Morning All, This maybe a silly question from me. Is there a way of stopping students downloading certain file types? The kids are sending themselves emails with SWF files then playing them via internet explorer. SW

Hello, I was 15 when I started to work in IT When I finished school I went back one day a week and worked in the IT department so i had some experience. Then after a year I did a two year apprenticeship in It practitioners level 2. Then managed to get my 1st fulltime ICT technician job job roll. After a year I moved to Bristol (from Plymouth) and started work as an ICT Network Technician. I kinda fell into It but I think the work experience set me up the most as my network manager gave me a very impressive reference. Hope this helps

Dear all, My manager would like me and my colleague to find some information on Mac courses. We would like to learn about mainly; 1. Networking 2. Creating and editing policy’s 3. Capturing a image and deploying the image I’m not sure if there is a budget on how much the school is willing to spend. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you in advance.

Apprenticeships are the way forward - Experience is everything in the world of IT (Sorted me out nicely anyway)
-
The pays not too bad, When I was doing my apprenticeship I was on £80-£100 all the way though. Also they managed to get me to stay for another year on the same wage while not going college LOL Good luck to who ever goes for it.

Oh dear my mistake, Sorry guys. Saw it and thought I would share it. Hope who ever is working there enjoys it.
