Hello and good morning, Yesterday (after being advised by members on edugeek I downloaded spiceworks. All I really need it for is to get mac address and serial numbers Is there away i can get the serial numbers in to a notepad file by exporting them after the network scan and you can see whats there? Any advise or any help would be very good Thanks Lewis

Hello, I really need Someone’s help. Is there a way I can Get all the computer details... (serial numbers, Mac address) Cutting a long story short... I have been asked to find a way of getting it all together as quick as possible but I have been really busy Lots of tricky Head flushing problems that I need to sort out. I was asked to do this a few months ago but my minds been elsewhere Would there be a script I can run? Or a program that will allow me to use a barcode scanner and automatically take the information I need. with us it was something really silly. (not saying your silly) i think the DNS settings was wrong.. try checking them and so a cmd > "dns /flush" or its flush /dns

but it should say what address it should have..

Remove the network drive and reinstall again And thats all i can really think of at the top of my head sorry buddy

has it got the same ip address to what is on the DHCP server... thats messed me around a little bit before

I would personally go for hp.. they are the new 3com ... and we havnt had any probelms yet (fingers crossed)

make sure the server has the currect staic IP, Dns and everything... Then try the Start > run > mstsc /console Let me know how you get on

Sounds silly... If its a brodcom driver you may need SP3 installed.. That helps us out big time... and installed it by fluke aswell Tried it a few more time to make sure it was not luck and all the laptops would connect up to the wireless Hope this helps you (fingers crossed)

noo its just faster if you do have DHCP We just search the mac address then send the image
