amazon are stuck between a rock and a hard place if it dosent turn up on the release date people will slate them so it needs to be shipped out early to make sure it gets there but that means some people will get them early

Well I just may have accidentally purchased myself a shiney PS3 GTA 5 Bundle!!

 

My Xbox broke a year or so ago and I had resisted from replacing but the temptation was too much. It will be here tomorrow but i have got it delivered to the Office and I am 140 miles away in Ipswich on Training :(

I'm sat here considering selling my second GTX670 to gather funds for either a PS3 or 360 + GTAV :| >_< I'm trying so hard to resist temptation but my mates keep putting review links on facebook arrgghh

Well i do want to wait for the PC version, but even with that info being leaked I'm still not that certain we'll see the PC version this year unless they've planned it better this time. At least going by previous GTA releases anyway....

 

I get the feeling they'll release it on xbox one and PS4, then wait a couple of months (even if they have a finished product) before releasing it on PC because someone high up at rockstar evidently hates PC gamers and see's us all as pirates :(

 

EDIT: When you think about it, it's absolute genius from rockstars management to release the game when they did.....because SOOOO many people want to play it on release, as shown even by my desire to buy a console....but they know full well that loads of people will upgrade to PS4s and Xbox ones over the next 3 months so they will next release the game there, allowing them to double up on sales because no doubt lots of people are going to then go out and buy it for the new gen console even if they had it on the previous gen.....but if they release it on PC before that happens they'll lose a good % of the people who would have originally preferred to buy it on PC but opted for console because that's where it came out first.

 

I'm probably rambling now but yea....i strongly believe that we'll see it come out on both next gen consoles before we see it on PC a few months later (maybe just in time for xmas if we're lucky)

Got my copy at a midnight launch, waited in a queue of about 300 people!

 

There was a usa cop car doing burn outs.

 

Do I dare ask how long you waited for it?? Haha and the cop car, nice touch.

If I worked there, the temptation to troll them by saying it was sold out would have been hard to resist...

Geez! I'd sooner have paid the extra £10 and downloaded it direct from the PSN store! So long as it arrives in the post today the Amazon pre-order was definately the best purchase method.

Couldn't do that here. All three of us are pacing the floor waiting for the day to end. If one of us had tried taking an half day or calling in sick... well management might just have taken a dim view on that. If all three of us had done it...

While I don't want any major spoilers as I'll be waiting for the PC version, there is one thing I do want to know!

I predict it's going to be on the news tomorrow night:

 

"Record number of gamers trying to sell unwanted copies of GTA V. CEX refusing to do exchanges. Quoted as saying - 'We've got too meny copies now, We fear when word gets out how bad this game is we just won't be able to shift them'".

Imagine that?! After they spent 5 years developing it and god knows how much money it and it gets slated! Haa well i doubt that very much...
